The one album I want most, and that could in theory happen and be dope, would be a Cuban Linx III produced by Roc Marci and his team, Alchemist, and Q-Tip for the drums. Let RZA oversee it but not produce. Rae in 2019 is by far the best member in the Wu, actually seemed to have gotten better with time (that song with Smif n Wessun recently, my god he's floating over that beat).

Rae doing his Cuban Linx thing on that type of production, would be a classic. One can dream tho.

This album was one of the few sequel albums that actually delivered. I don't think anyone was expecting it to capture the magic of the original, but it did a damn good job nonetheless, and more importantly, gave the Wu a nice little revival that manifested in Wu-Massacre & Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang for Rae.

Still impressed that this did 80k first week on digital purchases, especially considering it wasn't a major label release.

4.5/5 to me. Although it's not a classic, it came out as basically as great as it could given the hype, and it's gained more and more appreciation over the years.

I think back in '10 or '11, Rae had said he planned to do a third eventually, fully produced by Kanye. Wouldn't be shocked if that still ultimately happened.

And to someone's earlier point, I believe RZA did mix the whole project. Pretty sure he's at least credited as exec. producer.

Please don't. We don't need an entire album if beats with no drums or basslines. Raekwon mixtapes are better then Marciano albums lyrically I'm sorry. Rae needs to keep doing what he's doing. Hes the best. His catalogue is insane

I agree with the 2nd post entirely. In I kinda agree about the drums and basslines, that's why in my initial post I mentioned Q-Tip as well. He's cool with both, and can bring those drums and basslines to Roc Marci's beats.

It's just dreaming out loud tho, I don't see it happening exactly like that. It just bums me out that Rae is wasting his skills with albums like FILA and The Wild.

raekwon is one of the few MCS on the entire planet who across decades has not degraded an inch lyrically and flowically so sometimes even when his beats are not great to me I'm still interested in what he has to say because his slang is fun and you get a great introspective view into the mind of a crook.
