Would you rather have a runner that breaks a 60-yarder every game, but gets 3 YPC otherwise.....or a runner that gets 5 YPC but never breaks a run over 20 yards?

Throwing out the highest and lowest results is generally a better way to find an average, especially with relatively low sample sizes.
