Financial literacy isn’t going to close the wealth gap in America where the median household incomes between white and black people is incredibly different.

Teaching a broke person about investing money they don’t have isn’t going to fix the racial inequalities built through redlining, school to prison, Jim Crow, etc.

It will take a combination of something like reparations AND financial literacy, but financial literacy is no good without the finances.

Financial literacy would close the wealth gaps because people would buy more guns and less butter regardless even if at a smaller rate. It would take people out of the consumer mindset and put them in the seller mindset.
