In the case of games like BF4 and Titanfall both versions used the same engine. In the case of game like Madden, 2k, and Forza Horizon, a totally different engine is used.

FH2 on 360 uses the FH1 engine

FH2 on X1 uses the Forza 5 engine.

That's why they don't have the same cars, some cars in forza 5 were never built for horizon 1

Was the article I posted straight from horizon website wrong?? It's the same shyt. Obviously the Xbox one version is the definitive but the old version is fine just like how tomb raider was fine on old gen.
