i thought coker played well considering the circumstances. benched for no apparent reason and then have to played down 10-20 they whole game. he has a good skill set and u can see it when lane uses it correctly. but lane tries to do too much with him, his decision making iis still bad but its getting better

ive always been a coker supporter tho. never saw anything in bateman at all. and have seen nothing from him this year hopefully that conversation is dead.

He has some good traits. Big arm, mobility, pocket presence, can make every throw, feel for the position then again, he can't read defenses, his accuracy is meh, he's not all that smart and he literally played in shotgun all night. With his history with the law, I don't see him getting draft higher than the 4th round in today's draft. With these traits, he could have been a top 10 pick in 2006 when it was about potential.

In all fairness, the draft changed. Teams are no longer drafting QB's on simply potential. They have to be ready out of the box. Kelly isn't that yet but the season is long but i see a lot of flaws.

QBs were out there looking like Jeremy Johnson throwing it up for grabs (besides that last int which was caused by pressure).
Ole Miss offense did not do shyt besides like 3 drives. They had amazing field position since the start of the game due to stupid turnovers. They didn't have to move the ball far to score. But when they got the ball on their side of the field they did jack shyt.

Did you see that Ole Miss lineman blocking down field on that wide open TD play?

But Ole Miss offense did do shyt tho. They put up points on most possessions. They were constantly in the redzone. How could you say they didn't do shyt?

Because I watched the game that's how I can say that. They had a short field majority of the game. They didn't have to do much but go 30-40 yards to score. Bama defense played lights out given the circumstances. Ole Miss had 0 run game and the QB is inaccurate and trash. It just wasn't bama's night from the jump.ole miss had no dominating drives. Just a bunch of short ones.

Kelly a Jr, he has this year and next to fix any issues and even then its going to be a challenge... and plus the way he is playing is getting him wins so he will have no reason to fix it.. he will make a team in the NFL most likely bills.

i mean yea just doesnt make sense. unless bateman was just so much better than coker at practice last week. im confident in coker even tho lane is being lane and doing everything he can to kill his qbs confidence.. like he did at usc

Yea but it had 0 influence on the play as far as I'm concerned. The CB should have stayed with his man. The WR wasn't even attempting to block so why would you leave him? That was a freshman if I'm not mistaken. Freshman mistake he'll learn

Basically how the play calling was when McElroy was there or McCarron, it was all about the simple pass plays to get the QB cool in the pocket. The play calling has been too aggressive
