No offense, but OP is speaking more to immediate offensive and self defensive tactics......

its still unrealistic for me just based on my experience growing up in the hood around thugs man....unless the thug already had some type of pro blackness bout them, many of them really don't give a damn, they killing/robbing anybody in this dog eat dog world (usually blacks since they live next to em)...the NOI seem to recruit a mix of former thugs and regular cats and train them tho

Right, but this is where pro active militant leadership and training should come from, and yea the NOI and NBPP does do that, which I like about them.....You change the mentality and show em the real, they'll aim that destructive force the right way....not sayin its easy, which is why I get where you comin from, but its not impossible either....

I still think they can be reached if people go to them and ask them to protect the neighborhood. Quid quo Pro type of set up. Anything to keep the police out of the neighborhood. Create a neighborhood watch and let them be officially in control of it. The thing is..this is how things were back in the 40's and 50's, because the police wouldn't police the areas unless they felt like killing blacks or visiting whore houses. Numbers men and gangsters of the time used to have clubs where people would go meet Joe Louis and other black celebrities when they came to town because they couldn't get food or place to sleep on the white side of town. (My great uncle was one of the number men and I've seen several pictures of famous people who used to visit his bar back in the day) It is possible.

That's precisely the point. Brehs in here stuck in the current paradigm acting like Black people are #inherently violent and out to kill their own, which is quite ironic. They're products of their environment and education, but I understand that macro analysis is not popular on the Coli.

The CVL's were derailed by the Mayor and police though. Before that, the Vice Lords were really gettin things done. That was the only street gang that I can think of that actually made the transition from the criminal element to community protectors.

I think blacks should be the most pro gun demographic in this country, and every time a tragedy like this happens, that belief is reinforced. If MB's hands were up in surrender when the cop shot him, one of the witnesses should have blew Wilson away... right there on the spot.

Ok, so why were they so easily infiltrated by the feds? There always has to be an incentive - so why did the community value drug money over repairing the community and progressing? The system may be stacked against you, but you still have free will to make whatever choices you want. While these gangs didn't start off like this, they are here now running the murder capital of the country. This is who you want to lead your communities? Is your motive to gain acceptance, equality, etc. through means of force, violence, intimidation? If so, how do you expect the rest of society to accept that?
