AS for Bill Walton, if he's in then Chauncey has an argument. Chauncey was relatively quiet while the rest were going in. it's not that shaq didn't deserve it that season. it's just that steve deserved it more. suns had the best record in the league in a much tougher conference and he was the main reason why. point blank.

Shaq has a legit gripe and probably should have won that that 2005 MVP. But it the grand scheme of things its his own fault for not imposing his will and dominance and not having more then one MVP to his name.

It ain't his fault that Karl Malone's 13th best season in 1999 was rewarded with the MVP. No justification for Allen Iverson getting it over him in 2001, and he made a real strong argument for it in 2005. I couldn't pick personally between my two favorite players. No doubt though that the big fella is all kinds of sensitive.

Shaq should have won the MVP in 2001. It always baffled me how the media left Shaw out in 2001 because he had Kobe and how they left Kobe out in 2003 because he had Shaq but they had no problem giving Bron MVP's even though he played with 3 HOF'ers.

Dude was legit unguardable and would be putting entire defenses in the blender on some "misdirection" ish. Mid-range was automatic, had off-hand finishes with both hands and going both ways, could split any double coming his way, had range, could score off the dribble, etc.

Ain't no way that you could have watched them 2005-2007 Suns and not had the utmost respect for Nash.
