Thats not actually taboo. I have actually met many light skinned people who think this way.My half oldest sister who is bright light always complains about being light skinned and sometimes wished she was darker. Trust me its not taboo.

well my entire family is darker than i am and ive always got weird treatment from other black people because of my complexion...then factor in white people trying to deny that im black at all. i would have rather been the same complexion as my mom or sister. but like i said, at this point in my life im fine with who i am.

other black folk calling me white boy and assuming i have a white mother..disrespecting me without knowing me or who my family is (my dad is half white, not me)
