nikka spitting the same surface level "stop complaining. ownership. business" every cheap motivational speaker has regurgitated. no offense, but it ain't no knowledge or insight in that post.

if you are going to make threads/posts like this, you should provide valuable information like which forms to fill, how to build credit, viable networking channels, how to get tax breaks, judicial advice for felons, etc. not this dumb shyt

nikkas post "stay off twitter, go open a business" and think they are gurus or helping in any manner :shaq2:
It doesn't matter what he posts. He could create a lengthy blueprint on how to acquire real estate with bad credit/no credit or get equity in companies from scratch.

Or how to buy a business, raise capital, hire super talent, or sell your business.

You'd pick holes in everything and dismiss it anyway.

Exactly some people need the whole blueprint laid out to the day and that's not realistic. Anybody that's had any type of business even if its just some small stuff knows this.

"I can't see a thing on the surface of Venus. Why not? Because it's covered with a dense layer of clouds. Well, what are clouds made of? Water, of course. Therefore, Venus must have an awful lot of water on it. Therefore, the surface must be wet. Well, if the surface is wet, it's probably a swamp. If there's a swamp, there's ferns. If there's ferns, maybe there's even dinosaurs."

if he posted a lengthy blueprint on how to acquire real estate with bad credit/no credit or get equity in companies from scratch. Or how to buy a business, raise capital, hire super talent, or sell your business. I would dap+rep and 5 star the thread.

Not that that's what i'm saying he should do, right now, i'd settle for more than just "no sneakers. get off social media. don't cry. open business" :ehh:

Nice juelzing but be honest. What would you do if he or someone wealthier gave you the step by step blueprint they took ?

Would you follow it ? Or discredit it with reasons why it won't for you ?

It is realistic but often what you get is excuses about why it won't work for them, in their area or something else. you could set it up for them and still get the same whining.

worst part is they give themselves credit for invalidating with excuses or bail at the first hurdle.

On second thought you're right I've saw exactly what you've posted many times. I'm glad I've rarely saw it offline but with cats online who think getting money exp if you're black is some type of mythical thing. It is sad but hopefully one day people won't look at it as nothing but the norm for us.

I'm juelzing when you made a baseless observation and dared reach an unfounded conclusion with no basis in reality?

I would commend and appreciate his efforts, and if after combing through the information i found anything useful and/or that would improve my ventures or better myself, i would certainly apply them. Also, further down the line I would most likely make a post crediting him, and elaborating with my own analysis regarding what worked and didn't for me.

I feel like this thread has taken a weird turn with people assuming, that seems to be the theme in this thread, I'm lambasting the op because i need his help, I don't, though i do believe in continuous improvement. I'm in a good space, currently undertaking a master qualification in international management and have my own venture dealing mostly in car parts. I also intend to dabble in women's cosmetics with my girl and already have a trip to china planned for later this year to explore it in more detail, as well as a joint venture with my brother to supply carryouts and small restaurateurs with plastic cutlery and cups and paper napkins, all the kitchen essentials etc they need. I'm not making 6 figures yet though, nowhere near, nor do i believe i'm yet qualified for insightful guides as i'm learning as i go trying to keep a balance between theory and real life application, hopefully that time will come sooner than later but patience is key in entrepreneurial efforts.

I won't call this advice, but these are my opinions on what holds a lot of black men back from our FULL potential:

- Learn to adapt. You might have to learn another language to make more connections in business. This gives you an edge. How many of you brothers can speak Chinese or Spanish fluently? So many black american men can only speak English. Knowing more than one language is useful in many ways.

- Stop whining about what's "fair". Other races of men are not obligated to "share" resources. Are you going to build, or whine about unfairness in the world? Nobody's going to just hand you their fortune, you have to invest and build your own. Life isn't some fair, magical Utopia.

- Have multiple streams of income. It's not 1961 anymore. One "job" is not enough and could be gone tomorrow. This should be common sense but unfortunately for a lot of us it's not.

- Stop putting these rappers and athletes on such a high pedestal. Only time they should be listened to is if they're bosses giving out good investment or business advice.

- Stop being a reminiscing "back in the day" ass nikka, unless you have something to show for what you were doing back in the day. I.e. back in the day i invested and i made this much money. Or back in the day i started a business and it's still going strong. Nobody cares about raggedy hoes you piped 15 years ago or shoes you wore. What do you have to show for it?

- Stop thinking that masculinity means being overly confrontational, emotional, angry and argumentative. It's not. Those are feminine traits, and will hold you back as a man. If you can't think critically and are a crybaby or hot head, how will you lead a company?

- Stop lying to yourself by saying, "money doesn't matter" or "money can't buy happiness" etc. The only reason why you're saying that is because you're trying to make yourself feel better about not owning anything or having anything to pass down to your kids. Money makes the world go around.

- Get your OWNERSHIP game right instead of chasing p*ssy all afternoon after you get off your shift at Radio Shack or Wal Mart. If you had some ownership, you wouldn't have to be getting bossed around by Mr Charlie for $12 an hour, just so you can pay the rent for a house/apt that you don't own.

- Stop constantly whining about "the white man". Not only is it a waste of time, but Asians, Arabs, and Latinos, pretty much all men except the black man, has managed to open businesses even in BLACK areas, so it's not just "white men" in business and real estate, other races of men are too. The "white man" excuse for why you won't start a business is getting old. If you have time to cupcake with hoes on twitter, you have time to figure out business ownership. Or at least be self employed in some capacity.

- Stop thinking sneakers, phones and cars are worth more than they really are. As soon as nikkas get a little bit of money, we go buy a Mercedes, that depreciated as soon as you drove it off the lot. Open a BUSINESS first, buy some property, then you can flex later.

- Stop spreading and believing that slave, archaic mentality that your single mother had. There's nothing cool about slaving for Mr Charlie and having nothing to pass down to your kids. Your mama lied.

- Stop acting like the Arabs who own the gas stations and stores, Latinos with the Mexican restaurants, Asians with the restaurants etc are doing something wrong. That's right, that's what you call entrepreneurship and group economics. Don't hate on them like they're doing it wrong. They don't care if you don't like them anyway. They care about what you should, BUSINESS.

Haha I like the way you think dapped

Okay. Thanks for clarification.

No need to get defensive, I don't even post my own achievements or dealings on here because nothing
good comes out of it. As for doing business with women you are romantically involved with ?

I've witnessed it offline with business owners and real estate investors as well. The root of it
is pure laziness because if you can invalidate something. You don't have to do it or risk anything

It's great way to stay stagnant and not learn anything but terrible if you want create more income.

As for the mythical thing ... crab in a barrel is rife here so best to ignore it or you'll end up
getting baited into doing something foolish for the approval of those with less.

I merely answered your question then took that platform to disclose where i'm standing at as the poster I was replying to prior to you made those assumptions (i even referenced that being a theme in this thread), hardly defensive, mostly transparent, although I will take heed regarding your mention of personal discretion on here.

I'm fully aware of #GMB but I've been with this girl for 10 years, since we were 16, granted things can get volatile when money and business are involved but even if we were to go separate ways it would be aight as I would have no qualms about letting it her have the cosmetic venture seeing as we are exploring it mostly for it to be a revenue stream for her and she will be the one managing it.

Lol! Your advice is a joke. Just a bunch of platitudes. Learn another language? Start businesses in Black areas? How do those two ideas fit together? Also, your list a just a list of racial stereotypes. Stop putting athletes and rappers on pedestals? Stop whining about the White Man? Stop spreading the slave mentality that your Single Mother had? "Stop acting like the Arabs who own the gas stations and stores, Latinos with the Mexican restaurants, Asians with the restaurants etc are doing something wrong." What does this have to do with anything? "Stop thinking that masculinity means being overly confrontational, emotional, angry and argumentative. It's not. Those are feminine traits, and will hold you back as a man. If you can't think critically and are a crybaby or hot head, how will you lead a company?" Another stereotype.

Why am I not surprised that this post got 80+ daps. Just embarrassing. You might as well read this post in an Uncle Ruckus voice. If you're as successful as you say, you could have made a detailed post about ways to raise capital, networking, government funding for minority businesses or actual pearls of wisdom that you've learned along your journey. Instead you just post conservative talking points about Black people. Says a lot about the people on this website that they gravitate towards racist talking points. For the people on this site, this is what real entrepreneurial advice looks like...

This whole thing is very sad...
