WW2 is a bit of an overrated movie subject now but this seems original since we haven’t seen anything based on the development of the nuclear bomb.

Because it has Cillian Murphy, the movie will be decent at least. I don't know if Nolan is trying to deliberately make his movies "Oscar Bait" now, because the feel of the movie is looking to be more towards a slow-paced, thinking movie vs. TENET/Inception.
Still in terms of History, they actually did the first test and the bomb successfully exploded... that had to be one of the most jaw-dropping moments for everyone watching because it wasn't just the bomb itself but rather opening up Pandora's Box.
