I would bet at least 1 user in this thread (@Yup ) is a paid govt troll probably a 19 year old white boy fronting like a black female from Canada ...

Cointelpro continues on...and these fake fembots actually encourage real young impressionable black girls to emulate this behavior...and for now our movement has stalled ...

But I won't give up on my real black sistas... Holding it down...My Queens
dude is clearly a troll/agent.

Does she owe black men any money? You said it well black women/white women. Where are the black wealthy mem that can cut a check or provide leadership?

Now that i'm home and im on my laptop let me address your bullshyt nonsensical post. first Oprah shouldnt be talking about leadership when she sits on the fukking chicago hill and counts her money. fukk all that gender biased bulllshyt. I can understand if wealthy black men became leaders and helped with the cause but lets' be honest Oprah is the biggest fukking hypocrite i have ever seen. Like i said she talks a good game but she aint about doing shyt for the regular black folk in america, she'd rather build a school in africa then to help the poor black people of chicago.

Also if i was in her situation and had billions I'd give my fukking last dime to fund the ferguson and protesters and get lawyers to change these laws, fukk with these cop unions, take the power out of their hands. The Koch Brothers Do it, The lobbyists on capital hill do it. She talks alot of shyt but I didnt see her ass donating anything to the mike brown or eric garner families or tamir rice, or ezell ford...

fukk that fat ugly bytch.... IDGAF!!! :pacspit:

Was gonna comment but yall cats already said it better :to:

So proud of some of these young people. They learned the lesson from some of these corrupt systems out here. An anonymous, decentralized movement without a face can still accomplish a lot. When there is no face, it's difficult to find someone to blame and responsibility is diffused.

Oprah out here asking dumb ass questions tho :upsetfavre:

She created a black girl school in SOUTH AFRICA instead of America, because according to her "Black American's(girls) do not deserve it" fukk her!
Well because she asked what they wanted for resources towards education and they said ps3's, iPods, and I phones.

They're giving her shyt because they're reactionary and stupid. A lot of niccas just wanna cry. Thats it.

If anyone offers anything that doesnt coddle black people 100%, and appears to challenge us in any way and not portray us as helpless victims, then they lash out and name call. Just like a lot of white people lash out whenever racism comes up as a discussion.

You got cats here really demanding that Oprah herself fix all the problems herself, rather than us as a generation defining our own destiny, strategies, and plans of action. Oprah didnt say anything negative. She encouraged us to sharpen our focus into workable ideas and goals. Why would black people respond with hostility to that?

But then again this is the coli. Niccas aint really about that life. Need to hit the streets with real brothas and sistas who are about that action.
I feel what you're saying, I think people misconstrued what she said to some degree. I agree that we don't need a leader, but Oprah has a point in saying that we need some concrete goals and things to accomplish. Right now there's a lot of anger and discontentment, but we need to turn that into concrete action and power moves. That's more what I think Oprah was saying.

She's skeptical like a lot of black people are, because for all the times we've gotten angry over the years it never translates into solid change. We always end up falling back asleep, snuggled up to the .5% of American wealth that we control now and always have since slavery ended. For all the marching, hashtagging, online debating etc where are the power moves and the money we need to pool together? That's where our focus should be.

What she is getting at is what are the demands, what's gonna take place after the marches are over. Not just someone stand up and be in the for front, they're people that's already doing that but it takes much more than just organizing for protest.

Were there leaders with that Occupy Wall Street thing? Did they get their message out and their goals met?

Funny how all these rich ass nikkas talking about "where's the leadership"... like you really think regular people wit 9 to 5's or someone without a college education has the time for that shyt? Why don't one of these millionaires take the initiative to lead... fukk we look like quitting our jobs and becoming homeless to go around the country campaigning for change. shyt makes no damn sense.

In the history of struggle in this country, when have a rich person EVER took on that role?

honestly, sounds like she ready to cut a big check if a real plan is presented. @bdizzle get on it

I already know my plan would get my crucified by black people, much less cacs. Even before ferguson I said this shyt wouldn't be enough to truly wake us up and my opinion is hasn't changed.

Let me go and tell black people the goal should be to separate from cacs, do for self, and control our own destiny and see how quick black people would tell me I'm being racist :mjlol:

I do agree we do need leadership though, and that's not a bad thing. There's a few cats out there who are kinda taking on that role (Phillip Agnew with Dream Defenders for example), but I'm not sure how big of a role he's been playing in Ferguson.

Honestly it's a lot deeper than that. Oprah may not be able to help black people in the US without any serious backlash. Farrakhan said he had gotten 5m dollars and wanted to create a line of beauty products by black people for black people. He said he put the money in a black bank, found a black manufacturer, and ultimately had to cancel the project because cacs said if you fukk with Farrakhan you'll lose all of our support/money.

Personally I believe we definitely need leadership, someone with a clear vision and love for their people, but I don't think that's the biggest issue. Our biggest problem is the sense of apathy among black men when it comes to fixing the problems we see in our hood. We have thread after thread of nikkas complaining about what's wrong, but very few in the way of actual solutions (and when solutions do come up, you can barely get nikkas to follow the blueprint).

nikkas keep talking about group economics, but how many got their money in black financial institutions? How many of us pledge to set aside a certain % of our money every month to give to black businesses? How many of us donate money to organizations who are attempting to tackle some of these issues?

Unfortunately until black men get serious about dealing with white supremacy, shyt will never change and we'll never move forward.

You mean besides Malcolm X, Martin Luther King who died for this, Marcus Garvey, Huey P Newton, Louis Farrakhan, Bobby Seale, Fred Hampton, 2Pac Shakur among may others. And this is just Black America, you want me to go into the black race at large?

See the problem with you is that you are good for nothing but invoking hostility from within our people.

We do not devalue women Rosa parks among many other women are held in high regard.

The difference is we make no differentiation between black men and black women as it pertains to the fight. We are all in this together.

Your whole mindset is toxic and you need to check that shyt cause youre doing nothing but furthering the same strategy used to destroy us, and disrespecting every black man that has given his life, trying to further your bullshyt feminist viewpoints.

Smarten up.

You do know you can put the wench on ignore right :patrice:

"is to take note of the strategic, peaceful intention required when you want real change.".....Oprah yall

i hate when they glamorize the CRM or any real black uprising/movement either in Americas or Africa. she was quiet this whole time when her black-fan base was waiting for her to respond about ferguson. she finally does when her movie "Selma" about to drop(and probably help finance; you know that she waiting for a Oscar).

also MLK was not the only one that was out there making moves and was not the only leader. Oprah don't know shyt about her own "black history' but that water-down European Saltine cracker mayo stain teaching

s/o black Muslim(NOI) who also made moves by buying property and opening up grocery stores etc

she clearly don't know anything about the leaders from Dream Defenders. BlackLivesMatter(yeah some ppl dont like the message). To the Ferguson commission. its more but i go deep later

who is the jews leader?Who is the Latino leader?Who is the gay leader?......yet in the last two decades these groups made big moves

CRM??? wtf... nothing's really changed judicially or legislatively and it can be argued we're worse off economically

instead of "What can I do to help?"............nah better yet she say "Where are the leaders?". Why do these rich black celebrities feel they don't owe the black community nothing? mammy Oprah is full of shyt and she's working for the other team
