leaders are not needed but influencers are, people who can influence communities, positively, with money, power and celebrity but oprah and most famous and powerful blacks don't give a fukk about that. for instance oprah alone could afford to setup schools in every major city in america to make sure that black kids with the most potential get a quality education (paul tudor jones a white man funded one of the top performing schools in the country in bedstuy) instead she choose the publicity route by setting one up in south africa for the world to see.

Why should she?

why shouldn't she or any black person with the means too. she profited enough from woe is me and my people the negro so why shouldn't she try and improve some of their lives. i mean it's not only on her, every black person who can afford to do something should but people like her are in the position to organize something that would have more impact than 9-5 folks

The crazy thing is, she says it like she's a cac on the outside looking in at problems that do not concern her.

Nevermind a few months ago a cac basically called her a poor negro african in a store, then they forced her to apologize for being upset:shaqlaugh:

Why is oprah the only person you can think up? Is she the only black businessmen that exist in black america?

Completely irrelevant...if she didn't care...she could have kept her mouth shut. Y'all still mad about her building in school in africa, like she is supposed to fund all of black america.

I am not going to talk about all the money she has given already but y'all sit there criticizing her about her money and how she uses when you have dr dre funding a school he didn't even go to instead of am hbcu. Kanye west acting a brand fool playing his faux black militant jig and the list goes on...

That's what I am talking about, black men feeling entitled to black female success but them not doing their part.
I wonder how many black men with money sitting on the sidelines right now.

Even the black lives matter movement was started by two black women. Black women do the ground work and black men are the mouthpiece.:scust:

Which is highly ineffective.

What are black men doing? The point is effort is made, things are done. I am not going to take someone seriously when all he does is sit on thw sidelines and talk smack while the other person is actually doing whether successfully/unsuccessfully. It will encourage others and get more people going.

There's plenty of Representation of black female leadership, so why mention her if it isn't about money.
