in today's society where the loudest opinion is considered the correct one, he did absolutely the correct thing. You are considered guilty if they here more people say you're guilty than they hear people say you're innocent. So he needs to be on every phone, in every interview, making his own documentary proclaiming his innocence. People don't care about evidence anymore, guilt is determined by the winner of a popularity contest.
I dont know what happened with this; however, it seems folks do not need to have evidence or anything they can just come with claims and you're fighting for your reputation.
Some man "allegedly" fondled your breasts back in 1980 and now you want to tell your story.
In a lot of these situations these people take payoffs and the whole nine on top of that.
I'm not saying scumbags shouldn't be exposed, but if they accept compensation of any type to keep their mouth shut I don't want to hear it later on.
There are a bunch of scumbags out there that need to be exposed (i.e. R. Kelly, Harvey Weinstein), but there are a lot of other folks looking for a come up off some shyt that either didn't happen or that did happen and has been resolved.

People forget that he was guy that the industry pushed to get Terry Crews to rescind his story/charges against the guy who groped him.
Fact that Russ was chosen to do that, indicates that he might have been asked to put out those kinds of fires before.
That doesn't mean that he is guilty of anything he's bein accused of, but he's not above carrying water for well connected perverts.
