ehh i get the sense that it does bother her to some degree. respect for realizing her goals would make it practically impossible to be even a part time mom. she has nothing to be ashamed of. look at what this sista has accomplished

Nah. She’s been pretty open and candid about her life. I think if she regretted it, she would have said it.

I mean, if she wanted to, she could’ve adopted 100x over. I think she legit didn’t want any children. I know someone exactly like that. A Pulitzer Prize author, NYT best seller. She was fulfilled from her work and was not moved to be fullfilled through motherhood.

Entertainment mogul Oprah Winfrey sat down for an interview, where she revealed that she has no regrets about not having children or getting married.

Oprah says she focused on her career - and that she is ok with that. She has been in a long-term relationship with Stedman Graham and revealed that she did not think they would still be together if they had tied the knot.



The OWN creator said that she once considered having s child, but quickly changed her mind:

"I realized, 'Whoa, I'm talking to a lot of messed-up people, and they are messed up because they had mothers and fathers who were not aware of how serious that job is,'" she told PEOPLE. "I don't have the ability to compartmentalize the way I see other women do. It is why, throughout my years, I have had the highest regard for women who choose to be at home [with] their kids, because I don't know how you do that all day long. Nobody gives women the credit they deserve."

Oprah added:

"I have not had one regret about [not having kids or getting married]. I also believe that part of the reason why I don't have regrets is because I got to fulfill it in the way that was best for me: the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa," she said. "Those girls fill that maternal fold that I perhaps would have had. In fact, they overfill — I'm overflowed with maternal."

It's called the bond of LOVE that a mother has for her child, that's how. Possibly the most powerful emotion on the planet. smh

I know quite a few women who don't want kids, it's not that hard to believe. Just like there are a lot of women with kids who regret it.

My cousin is one of them, she never want to have kids, mind you she's a fiancee and still don't want to have kids even her fiance knew that.
