The 1619 project was an absolute great read/listen..it’s on a podcast format as well
steadman lives in the front yard like a dog kennel
to hell with her.![]()

Yupyou have a right to be not too optimistic.
she never ever had on Dr Ben, Dr Clarke, Dr Van Sertima. she has a history of not showcasing black excellence so i wonder her intents.
all her presentations are of black subservience in one form or another. i really think she wants white people to call her the greatest black person of all time or something? i know she doesn't care about black men.![]()
As a supposed descendent of these first group of "Africans" that were bought here, who has been researching this shyt since I first learned about it 20 years ago, and still take time out of my life to go and clean up our families grave site from time to time, I'm here to tell you this is all bullshyt.
It's only the first documented case among the British of "Africans" coming here.
Even if you don't believe we were already here before Europeans, you must know that the Spanish and French were here before the British and there were plenty of black people that travelled here under those banners and lived in those territories way before 1619.
This is actually one of the major critiques of the book, and expect a black history boom implicitly critique the 1619 project.
I use it in the classroom because it is easy for students to grasp, as well as they have tons of resources, but….
The story of Africans in America doesn’t start with bondage. We were well-traveled and set the template for European exploration. It’s just African exploration didn’t equate dominance of other cultural groups.
I’m interested to see how it develops. I know some people involved.
As it should be.
Any true student of "black" history in America should be able to destroy this theory very easily if their research is driven by their desire to discover the truth instead of it being driven by their duty to prove their financial backers theories.
At this point, I chalk it all up to deviant cacs and the black Boule working together to continue to hide the real history of our people in the Western Hemisphere.
It's really a ridiculous claim when you think about it rationally.
This is from a nikka with the last name Tucker, that has a real life legitimate claim as a descendent of William Tucker, the supposed 1st black baby born in America.
Hannah isn’t a historian, and she is a journalist. Hence, why she took it and ran.
I personally don’t think folks are “hiding” these stories, but I do believe agendas makes history. 1619 has an agenda. I like the surface level, but the more underground stuff i.e erasing African presence in the Americas, putting democracy on enslaved people, etc is off putting.
I agree with you completely, sis.
I made a comment earlier something to effect of, they don't have to hide it anymore, black people will fight other black people to prove we've been nothing but slaves on this continent before a white person will at this point.
The damage has already been done.
When I'm able to remove myself personally and look at the whole shyt from an unbiased perspective, you have to respect them devils for their ability to shape how everyone else views world history strictly based on how they told us it happened.

Folks are divorced from viewing Africans and people of African-descent as originators. Students in the classroom can’t fathom Europeans coming to Africans begging for their business. Europeans mimicking African luxury, beauty, intellect.
