Gang, Optimus whole approach was flawed. It needed to be ended violently. Oppressed people don’t care about working toward peace, they want change. Orion’s whole story is one of privilege. He needed Megatron, Megatron didn’t need him.

He didn't need Megatron at all. It's because of Megatron that their planet is barren and devoid of life. Pax would have been better of if he left D-16 in the mines and forgot about his writings. He advocated for him.
