I've never had a OnePlus device. How steep will the learning/adjustment be? I've been using a Galaxy S8+, always been an Android guy. Anyone using this phone? Any tips/tricks/must have apps/accessories?

My bro went from an S6 which died recently to that and he's had no problems, only glowering (and dikk waving, pause) praise for this unit. You're gonna really enjoy the phone from the looks of it. shyt's Smoov....I'd cop but I need my SD card slot and also the Note 9 as far as I know, is the only phone that can let you capture gifs from any video played (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, 'cause I need to know) and convert it easy as shyt using the S-pen....but yeah. It's a good phone.

Cop you the Carbon case they got on the website as well even though you should be quite fine with the one they give you. Also, there is a Screen protector already pre-installed on it, so don't go peeling that shyt off.:whoa:

Breh it's a smartphone in 2019. They all do the same exact things. Lol @ a learning curve for using a smartphone :mjlol:

I'm talking about gesture control, minor differences in their skin on the android OS, etc. There's definitely going to be lots of differences in this unit compared to my S8+

Can you schedule texts on it like you can in Samsung phones?

What's the battery life like?

I use Next SMS, can schedule texts with that app, I'll continue to use it on the OnePlus 7 Pro. I'll get back to you all on battery life in a week or so. Phone should be arriving Tuesday or Wednesday.

I got the OnePlus 6T and love it. Every reviewer I've seen has given the 7 Pro great reviews and lists it as their #1 or 2 android phone.

My big concern is mans talking bout short battery life. But I'm seriously considering it.

My current device, and the smoothest phone I've ever used. My S10+ seemed almost clunky by comparison. Battery life is pretty solid to me, and I keep the 90 Hertz refresh rate and QHD+ active at all times. The only thing that drains the battery quickly is if you keep your screen at a higher brightness level. The battery absolutely shyts on the S8+, regardless, and Warp Charge 30 is something to behold. They aren't bullshytting with their claims of 50% charge in 20 minutes.

Also, the default camera is serviceable, but you might want to consider GCam.

There shouldn't be any real learning curve, and the native screen recording feature is pretty dope, too (Samsung is just introducing this to the new Notes).

If you can get over the lack of headphone jack, SD card slot, and wireless charging, then you should be very pleased with the phone.

Did they port the Google Cam to the Pro 7? I got it on my 6T and the results are night and day. Photos look beautiful with the Google Cam port

They did, and it has the same effect. I need to check to see if there is an updated version, as last I saw, there was a version that took advantage of the triple camera setup without having to root the phone.
