I see him as a late first round-early second rounder ... depends on if Seattle wins the Super Bowl or not a bit too I think.

He is far better for the system than his predecessors were but the fact remains is that he's a system QB. I've said this in other threads, The escalation of things that a QB has to process grows exponentially as you go from high school, to college, to pro. By the time you are in the NFL, that is Ivy League shyt. The windows are smaller, you have to go through progressions and the schemes, both offensively and defensively, are far more complex. To be a successful QB, you have to be able to throw from the pocket and make progressions. You should know this from our own QB. Why do you think that Stafford is always taking snaps out of the shotgun? One year, the Lions set the NFL record for 68% of their plays being run out of the shotgun. You can get away with that in college where the first read is usually open. In the NFL, you can sit back and let someone pass underneath or throw a pass out in the flats or as we used to see, shotgun draws. That style of QBing just doesn't work in the NFL because you have to be at least giving the semblance of a balanced attack, dropping back, reading progressions because many times, your first read or second read isn't there and moreover, your first inclination can't always be to run. You have to play from the pocket, stand tall and deliver strikes. Anyone that has watched FSU play the past two years, has seen Jameis do this repeatedly. When you watched FSU offense on the field, you saw NFL-lite. With Oregon, that was XFL/Looney Tune Road Runner shyt. That's why we know that Winston projects far better than Mariota in the NFL.

I'm just not seeing it, man. When I watch him play, I just don't see many attributes that translate to the NFL aside from his elusiveness. But even with that one, you try that shyt on Sundays and your ass will be on IR every single season. Ask the cornball brother in Washington.
