Butternut squash is in the same family.
I'm sure Pumpkin can be good just like sweet potato....

I only eat pie on Thanksgiving or maybe I’ll have one slice of banana cream pie in the summer.
Since I have to go for the gusto I’m picking sweet potatoe pie every single time.
Pumpkin is gross IMO there’s a reason why we carve them and gut them and waste them year after year. No shade to people that like the taste but it tastes like dirt and stinks too.
I can do butternut squash in a soup - I make a good puréed soup with it during the winter.
