So a while back I came across orisha worship mentioned in the locker room and went to go look this up more. So I came across a woman who used to be involved in the religion.
So this woman talked about what's known in Yoruba as the mami wata, a spirit that has a torso and head of a woman and body of fish like a mermaid. So she talked about how they would summon this spirit by the waters and that a mermaid would appear and initiate her into the occult and that these types of spirits would take on human form at times and walk around physically. She said she would be assigned to seduce married men and destroy families as well as pastors in the city. She then described how every time she would go to a true church, she would see into the spirit what resembled a flame of fire surrounding the homes and areas of christians. However, she couldn't penetrate through the fire (she desribed this as protected areas by God). She described how this mermaid entity cut her finger open and made her sign a contract in blood. So I looked up more and more people telling the same kind of story. So then I got to thinking about how sailors would tell stories about seeing mermaids in the waters out at sea and came across a video this man posted up. What you all think?

Lol. Sounds like she's pandering to the evangeical christian conspriacy folks. Not saying her experience isn't real but traditional African systems aren't about destroying christians and married men. People skip over the history, blessings, nature and herbal side and jump straight to the hexes give me a sec.

Op here's a video of a Palo Mayombe priest addressing the woman in the op. He speaks in the video in both Spanish and English. He say he doesn't even deal with curses himself.
1:10 if you're trying to get straight to the point.

Yoruba or Akan.

Dang there was a old forum called Asstashakur.org and they had a big thread on it but the site is down now. Give me a sec
