At least he can play defense
I'm just worried about the team's ability to score. Are Tobias Harris & Vucci Mane going to put up major points? Will Oladipo breakout into a scorer?
I dont get it. I dont see wing at all. I see a prototypical 4. A Blake Griffin with similar athletic ability.
Blake cant shoot free throws either. It's not like his shooting form is out of the ordinary or awkward .. he's just gonna have to put in the time to get it right.
He's got the body frame to add another 20-25 pounds too. He needs to get stronger, but who doesn't when they first get drafted to the league?
Remember, he wont be asked to lead the team in scoring at first. Hell .. he may never be asked to do that. But he's a high character guy. A team player that goes hard all the time.. and actually plays solid defense. You can take that and mold him into something valuable. I like the kid. Dont love him .. but if it was between him, Randle, Smart or Exum .. for THIS Orlando team .. I'm all for the Gordon pick.![]()
I heard all the same things about MKG and he was an even better college player than Gordon and has a defined position, but broken offense is broken offense and taking a high character defender in the top 5 is just
What makes you think that? He's a tweener with no real position, and the fact he shot 44% from the foul line is justI can understand big men 6'10"+ shooting so poorly from the line, but a guy that wants to be a wing? Nah something ain't right there.
He could be Wes Johnson....
why is that? Everyone should be shooting like 90% from the foul line.

fukk Randle, no right havin ass too.
.

Not even close. At least Gordon is active around the basket, and on the glass. Williams is lazy as fukk.

He can play defense against college 4s, it's up in the air on whether or not he can guard NBA 3s or 4s.
Three point shooting will be a big issue, your 1, 2, 3 can't shoot from 3 if you're playing Harris at SF.
Nah, he's not as big as Blake, he's 6'8.75" without shoes, Blake is 6'8.5" without them. He has prototypical SF height and his arms aren't necessarily long either (6'11" wingspan), also Blake shot 59% from the line as a freshman while Aaron was a 44% shooter. He's got the game and skills of a defensive 4 or 5, but in the body of a 3, I know everybody wants the next Kawhi and hopes to turn the undersized college PF into an NBA SF that can shoot, but the odds of that happening are pretty low.
When the best things you can say about a top 5 pick are they are a high character guy, and they play solid defense, chances are it's a bad pickI heard all the same things about MKG and he was an even better college player than Gordon and has a defined position, but broken offense is broken offense and taking a high character defender in the top 5 is just
I like Payton, he is a great pick for your team, but you can't sell me on Gordon, he has really high bust potential.

A strong left? Maybe not many.
A serviceable left? A lot.
