Oh, so he is an "effort" guy like Kurt Rambis was for the Lakers. ok.
Effort goes a long way. Kurt Rambis didn't have elite athleticism. If he puts in the effort to find his niche he could make an all star team in the East. He can out hustle and out jump people to get impact numbers now.

Aaron Gordon is gonna be good. People like to focus on what he cant do opposed to what he can do. He impacts the game without having to score, every team can use a guy like that. With a guy athletic as he is, im not sure about the tweener concerns. At worst he's Shawn Marion
At WORST he's Shawn Marion? Shawn Marion is barely going to miss out on being a Hall of Famer.

Gordon can be Thomas Robinson or Shawn Marion. All about development. Magic have a good system down there. Tobias Harris and Nikola V already play the 4 well, so Gordon will have to push himself.

I think they will regret passing on Exum in three years.

What in the fukk, seriously? How you waste a perfectly good 4th pick on fukking Aaron Gordon?. Exum, Randle, Smart, and Vonleh are all>>> Gordon. And Elfrid Payton is fukking :trash:. Orlando  and are no longer worthy to tank.

Gordon fits into the Magic rebuild program. Exum, Randle, Vonleh and Smart are good but don't fit in their puzzle. They want to shuffle existing players but don't want to break it like a glass jar and start all over.
It's not that crazy when you think about it that way..

Wouldn't that mean you're due for a miss? I mean the law of averages says you can't keep swinging away and connecting :ld:

To the people saying he can play and defend the PF spot, that's what we heard about Tyrus, Derrick, SuperCool and Thomas Robinson as well. Every single year there's a dude like this, and every year people say "Once he can shoot", his release is slow as fukk. Using a workout as the basis of whether or not he can shoot is just :whoa: I mean there's video of Andre Drummond hitting stepback jumpers in his workout, you don't see none of that in the league.

Thomas Robinson is undersized 4 who lacks touch around the rim, is a two-foot leaper, and can't shoot worth sh*t. Many of you were wrong about him, I was not. He's not all that explosive.

Gordon is a different type of athlete. A way more dynamic one while being a far better BASKETBALL player. Kid can defend the 3, straight up.

Thomas Robinson is the same exact height as Gordon....

So, they drafted a defensive 3? Isn't that what Moe Harkless is supposed to be, or did they draft a defensive undersized 4 that can guard the 3 because he can't guard the 4? :lupe:

Gordon is more K. Leonard than Thomas Robinson. Harkless is a bench payer. I'm sure they'll deal him in the future. Gordon's upside is waaay higher.

PF was one of the positions that needed addressing a I'm happy with this pick :ehh:

We've got a young core considering that Gordon isn't going to be the a go-to scorer, he can still get his minutes without hindering Harris, Oladipo & Vucevic. I still think we need more rim protection though.

Gordon isn't going to have Chip Engelland working with him on his shot, Kawhi would be good, but he wouldn't be the shooter he is today with any other team.

Look at all the 6'7"+ tweeners that have hit the league over the last 6 years, Kawhi is really the only 1 that has exceeded expectations and developed beyond the position he was in college. I wouldn't use him as an example, when a lot of his development is a result of the organization he's with.

What position is Gordon going to play? He's not big enough for the 4, and he doesn't have the skill for the 3....

He passes, rebounds, and moves well enough to be a 3. That's where I see them playing him.
