Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I think Wilt would have been a dominant center in the 1990s because he was a strong player (both in terms of skill and physical toughness) and I think given the advances in science and nutrition, he would have held his own just fine against the Hakeems and Shaqs and Ewings.

60 or 70 points a game? No. I don't think so. But could a prime Wilt have averaged 35 or 40 a night? Possibly. It's a tough question to answer because the offense shifted a bit more toward guards and I don't doubt the skill he had, just whether or not he'd get the opportunities. I mean, at their peaks, Ewing, Olajuwon, Shaq and Robinson were - at most - getting 20...maybe 21 shots a game.

Wilt's first 7 years in the league he averaged 31.4 shots a night.
If Wilt was a decent FT shooter, he'd almost certainly have averaged 40 a night easily in the 1990s. But that's the thing about ifs...

What's more interesting to me personally in that video is that when asked to name their favorite/best players in basketball, neither one of them mentioned Kareem.
I could see jealousy playing a role with Wilt's answer. But I don't understand why Bill didn't name him.

:patrice:

Nobody would average 40ppg against the centers of the 90s, he said he'd average more against dudes like Shaq than he did in the 60s which is absurd.

It's really not that difficult of a question to answer, only 1 center has averaged more than 30ppg in the last 35 years, it was Moses Malone with 31.1ppg on 23 shots and 42 minutes per game. Big guys did not play the type of minutes Wilt did, he was playing 45+ mpg, nobody is risking their center with those kind of minutes. Shaq & Robinson only played 40mpg once, Hakeem & Ewing never did it, meanwhile Wilt had a season he played 48.5mpg.

The point is that older NBA players rarely give credit to the current era guys, it's the circle of NBA life.

I think those minutes speaks to the kind of physical specimen that Wilt was.
But fair enough

I remember watching O in his prime and real spit..... Draymond would probably lock him up or at the very least neutralize him:manny:

He was a once in a lifetime athlete, but so were David, Shaq & Hakeem.

Today, NBA teams are extremely cautious with their minutes for big guys.
I'll concede there's a pattern of old school taking shots at new school.

Sometimes they have a point.
Sometimes they don't.

Favors..that's hard to predict because I believe we haven't seen the best of favors while this is peak best situation draymond. Put a fringe guy..still good though like Millsap and Golden state runs away with the chip. I'm taking Millsap over draymond.

That's cool but they said the same about Iggy..Noah..ak..horford.. he's replaceable, alot of players would look like extraordinary play makers playing next to the goat shooter and a top 10 shooter all time. May be unpopular but not seeing the hype.
My Noah in his prime and Horford aren't replaceable. Those are hard to find nikkas

i pray and hope when i get old i dont turn into a crank
telling youngings how crapppy they are conpared to my generation

its so corny how old people hate on youngings

my dad always used to tell me you got to make room for the young folks cuz its their time not yours

PS and i def not a fan of Draymond either he is surely talented but i hate how he demonstrates and berates opponernts on every play
O isn't just old. He's one of the best players of all time. That alone should garner him the respect of being able to express his opinion. It's not like he called a press conference just to shyt on Green. He was doing an interview answering questions, probably because whoever did the interview knew that his comments might offend bytchasses like you. You don't have to agree with O but if you had any home training you'd respect his right to express an opinion without getting all butt-hurt and disrespectful over it.
