No, this is the result of the ratings dropping every year as the Oscars become more and more irrelevant in a time where social media dictates a movie's success.

Not just social media. Its all these live shows ratings drop. No one watches this shyt when they can DVR it. In this moderm era only live shows that are doing well is sports and even sports is slightly dropping in ratings across the board.
