if you have at least 2 GB of ram you good. Try downloading from the App store

NO NO NO if you dont have MORE THAN 4 gigs of ram dont even waste time downloading Yosemite. Thank me in advance.

Producer brehs, I've got a bunch of NI and Waves plug ins and Ableton. If i upgrade will i lose anything?

I think you can change it . Go to Safari/Preferences/Advanced and check/uncheck show full website address.

how do you do that?

Here's what I did:

• I backed up all my stuff to an external drive
• Downloaded OSX Yosemite
• Made a bootable USB with diskmakerx,
• Started the my mac and booyed from the USB drive,
• Formatted my drive and installed the newest version.

I have 4 just ordered 16 gb ram upgrade. Yosemite is running ok so far.
