I don't deny that some people outside of America legitimately feel that all this was a sham and a miscarriage of justice (which I agree with), but a lot of this criticism from around the world and the like seems so opportunistic, disingenuous, and quite frankly hypocritical. Much moreso than any of the alleged hypocrisy that comes from America.They claim not to care about us too much and say we're not as great or prominent as we think yet they're always keeping an ever watchful and at times obsessive eye on what we are or aren't doing. They want to butt in and lecture us on what we should or shouldn't do and how we need to be more like them while complaining about how we allegedly lecture everyone else. They want to ignore or downplay their flaws and their ugly aspects but embellish and harp on ours. They're so ready to shine the light on our demons, but when we do the same thing to them they get quiet or defensive.

Obviously this doesn't cover every non-American, and emotions are running high right now. But for those that it does cover, why should we care about the opinions of bitter, dishonest, morally and culturally arrogant, spiteful people who've convinced themselves that they don't like us and believe we're as awful as they imagine, all the while pretending that they don't do the same things to Blacks and other minorities in their own country that they're so eager to decry us for? All of us have less than pretty aspects of ourselves and our national character -- let's not rewrite a narrative and pretend that some of us don't while others are full of them.
