I can’t remember the last time I seen a gay person..

Whenever I go out to a grocery store or to run errands, I see 5x more black folks than whites or Hispanics.

The richest black majority counties- PG and Charles counties
Neighborhoods of 1 mil houses that are 90-100% black in PG/Charles County

And I think the DMV is heavily overrated because DC is so gentrified and I don’t even know why VA or Montgomery County, MD are in the conversation for black folks because ados are damn near statistically insignificant in Northern Virginia and Montgomery County, MD.

But at the end of the day, most people move to the DMV for a white collar job opportunity with the government. Black folks move to the A in the same way white people move to L.A. or NYC. That is they pack up with a suitcase with nothing in hopes of a better life.

The main reason the A is known mostly to the younger generations for its status in Hip Hop. And Hip Hop in the mainstream been microwave dinner garbage for at least 15 years.

But the A is the number one black Mecca that has retained its Mecca status in the new millennium unlike other former black Meccas like Oakland, Detroit, Harlem, South Central etc. All the black folks who want to escape their city go to the A. The A is like black Hollywood. The DMV can’t even say that because not enough celebrity star power comes from DC.

While I do believe Atlanta is a bit overrated as I view other southern cities to have much more cultural significance.

As much as Atlanta gets hyped as being a shining star of Blackness, I also view ATL as being just as much a negative influence on Black culture as it has been a positive honestly I feel that way about the South in general, a lot of pros but also a lot of ignorant ass shyt too that's has become championed in the community for the worst.
