I've owned one for years (got it from a friend as a kid because his mom said it was evil and she was about to toss it) and I mostly used it to scare people who came over. I tired to seriously use it like twice and guess what happened...

absolutely nothing. I eventually threw it away because I lost the lil triangle piece you move.

I think I'm going to buy a older one off of ebay just to fukk with people some more on Halloween

I worked security for a while, at one of those old massive mental hospitals, this one even had it's own powerplant... shopping parade, etc etc. Well it was shutting down and a road being built down the middle, there was still some patients left, the most sick or old. Anyway, we got chatting to the nurses and they would tell us various tales, no idea of the truth of them... Like the nymphomanic female, who was locked up for raping men or a loon who broke out the secure ward and cut off a nurses head with an axe stolen from the maintainence department and was never caught. ...

One was, that some time ago, they had a patient admitted, a teenage girl who was totally psychotic, but it was unlike anything anyone had seen. amazing strength ,saying strange, words, they tried everything to control her /calm her down, she was put on the highest doses of drugs, that didn't calm her, they had to take her off them as the high dose she was on,would have harmed her,. They had to tie her down on a bed, which is unheard of in UK hospitals, at the time as they would just drug people up as it was seen as more humane rather than strapping people down , There she stayed and she was dying. Well to cut a long story short of fukked up shyt, they in the end got a priest, which was sanctioned at the highest levels, and an exorcism was performed . And she lived and regained full health,. Turned out she and her friends had been playing with one of those Ouija boards, which they had bought from a local shop. The shop was closed down by the council. And the board taken away, apparently. Never reported even in the local papers let alone nationally.

Now all this is hearsay, and maybe this girl was just mentally ill and convinced herself she was posessed, perhaps her family were very religious and helped her delusion along and the act of an exorcism flicked a switch in her brain. But in my view, you would be completely nuts to mess with those things, because even if they are bull some people are highly suggestible and it could set something off in them, and also science can't prove or disprove the existance of ghosts, demons spirits etc etc, why take the risk with your health and possibly invite something very nasty in?

Yea it depends on who you go to for help...its a lot of nefarious folks out there too...that's why u have to research and look into spiritual protection....sage is just simply a room clearer or cleaser of negative energy...you don't even have to say anything

I've been seeing and hearing shyt in my house since the day I used that board. Shadows, movement out of my peripherals, whispering in the dead of night, doors opening, stuff vanishing and then re appearing when I turn back around

This sounds like a homegirls experience "after" using a Ouija board. Turns out she was actually schizophrenic. And apparently had symptoms prior to the event. And before someone suggests that the board has something to do with it, her cousin was with her playing and is no more or less crazy than when she participated. Also her family has a history of mental disease. Her uncle being a schizophrenic and mother host of different things. She had a psychotic episode about 2 weeks ago and is currently in a psychiatric hospital. Today is actually her birthday...

This thread is particularly depressing because it reminds me of her families ignorance. Her father, whom she hasn't been living with for some time, was heavy into the occult and shyt as a young man/teen and apparently still is. I say this because when his daughter told him she was hearing voices he told her that their family was always "special"....the man was implying that his daughters hallucinations were some sort of connection to the spirit world or some other nonsense. She also has a cousin heavy into the shyt that would "put hexes on her"

So instead of researching things like "schizophrenia" she was researching the occult and going to church more. Both of which obviously did nothing. She has been living with her grandmother and schizophrenic uncle the past couple of years. Her grandmother is the stereotypical old religious ignorant type. So she decided blessing their home with oils and crosses was a preferable solution to legitimate medical care. Now here we are....

Any way my point is this. Genuinely believing in this mystical magical stuff is harmful. Please consider seeking out a mental health doctor if what you are experiencing legitimately worries you. The same goes for everyone else in this thread.

Exactly nobody can control Vodoo or Santeria at 100%,I would advise you to not to mess with it.

Best bet? Go to a church, confess, get some holy water and call it a day :yeshrug:

I don't believe in organized religion myself but to cut a long story short let's say I've been in your situation before and confessing really helped.

My parents bought one for us when we were younger. I dont exactly remember what we asked it but I do remember it moving a couple of times, but we chalked it up to my cousin pranking us. Now that Im older and have researched a little about these subjects, I do believe that ouija boards and the spirits that communicate with them are real. I wouldnt bother with them today.
