Although I think her intentions were good, I also believe she was coming from a position of emotion when dealing with the construction of white supremacy in America.
I expect that type of rationale from a female.
It's black men who dropped the ball on a collective level back in the 70's when we (some of our fathers) decided to be pimps, drug dealers, hustlers instead of fathers.
If those hustlers and pimps in the 70's would have stayed home to teach the current generation who are in their early thirties now, we would have THOUSANDS of Malcolm Xs all across the country but that's not what happened.
It starts at HOME people.

When you know more about the National Basketball League, than you do about who your local political representatives then you're apart of the proplem.
It seems like problem solving is forbidden amongst us.Instead we rather ignore, deny, deflect or play victims.
If you wanna live in a black nation, by all means, move to one. You'll come away with a more mature (though probably less romantic) view of what's required to build a nation, once you've adjusted to the the astronomical levels of unemployment, crime, corruption and disease.
I think the only reason black people entertain separatist rhetoric is because we're treated as if we're not truly part of this society. If there was some sense of collective responsibility for black people's condition in this country, all this talk about "nation building" would go out the window.
I think we should work towards addressing racial inequality and injustice in America. We can't just fantasize about running away from it.

How about adressing ways American black people can be less dependent on those who pro-long inequality, racism or discrimination?
Self reliance.
Personal responsibility.
Discipline.
It has nothing to do with separatism because this all can be accomplished while black Americans are integrated in society.

Lol @ work towards racial equality. What more do white people have to do to you until you realize there will be no racial equality? They pass laws to make sure you couldn't live around them, work around them, or marry them. They passed laws to make sure you couldn't go to school with them or swim them. 400+ years have gone by and we haven't received racial equality. I'm guessing we need another 600 years before of oppression and murder until we accept reality.
Black people are the only ones wanting racial equality because we don't want to do shyt for ourselves. We'd rather beg white people to let us in instead of building our own.
Why is this billed as something that every black man needs to hear as if black women don't need to hear it? The black feminists damn sure preach that "we're alone in this by ourselves cause black men don't have our back" shyt. They're the main ones who need to hear these type of "we're in this together" speeches.
