@marcuz I thought about your "decriminalizing" theory while I was working out.
A good example would be the favelas in Brazil. The police have pretty much decriminalized that zone, and let the thugs run it. The locals wouldn't dare go up against the military-armed thugs The locals live within the laws set forth by the thugs, and while that has reduced outright murders it has created an environment ran by organized crime. Now whether that is the lesser of two evils is up for debate--what we do know is that the favelas continue to be one of the worse places in the world to live in. People still get murdered all the time.
I'm not sure decriminilazing would work.

How would you and @Yup determine which kids should be saved, and which ones you should prep for the slaughter?
And what do you and @Yep think contributed to that model and that 9yr old boy being killed? And how would you prevent it from happening again?
Because the two young men who did those two killings will face their day in court REGARDLESS. They'll get their due punishment. What measure would you two think are most appropriate to stop the next teenage boy from doing the same thing?

you're right, it's not enough. everyone acts like the problem is lack of mentors, when the problem is lack of well paying jobs. you want to help deter crime? get into a position where you can employ impoverished youth before they make the wrong choice.

Just as long as you acknowledge all violent crime is intra racial, and don't use black on black crime to disregard any sort of discrimination or racism violent or otherwise against Black victims, than there's nothing wrong with talking about Black on Black crime.

More white on white crimes happen more often both overall (as a majority) and percentage wise of their population than black on black crime.
More violent white on white crimes happen at a higher percentage than violent black on black.
You will never hear about white on white crime.
You will always hear about black on black crime.
