It's moved past economic disenfranchisement now. As many participants in gang activity do not have to be or aren't poor.

So where are the gangs in Ladera Heights? Why don't wealthier black communities deal with the same issues as places like Englewood, Chicago, a place with a 33% unemployment rate.

I would say it's becoming a sub culture, but aa's just barely have a culture. We're still creating our culture. Our group is what, 50, 60, 70, years old? We're really young as a group.

:dwillhuh:

It's moved because many of these bangers come from teen mothers who were so far removed from the American dream they couldn't even give their kids a glimpse of it.

Their great grandparents were disenfranchised...these kids aren't even aware they're disenfranchised.

I thought it moved passed disenfranchisement yet here we are, 28% of blacks are still in poverty.

They're too far gone and must be killed.

So the solution to gang violence is to create a gang of vigilantes to kill gangs

:what:

no, i'm asking what PROTESTING black crime achieves, and i'm still waiting on an answer.

as for police brutality, i don't believe marching solves police brutality either. just like criminals, these white cops understand it's wrong and they don't give a goddamn if you march up and down the street about it.
I dot believe in protests. I used protest ro mean that it deserves just as much attention as these police killings if not more so. I used 'protest' loosely.

We're all talking about it. We're talking about it right now, and in multiple threads. Again, how would you protest Black on Black crime? Will you knock on the doors of known gang members and tell them to get out of town?
:jbhmm:

Are you willing to go to 69th and Normal and start shooting at the gang members?

:jbhmm:

What's the solution? What's the root cause of Black on Black violence?

:jbhmm:

@Yup are you going to do the same? Will you make that trip to 69th and Normal?
You can't even get black people to acknowledge that drill music is bad, anytime you talk about that, a whole separate debate starts about it

Our problem is cultural, you're asking us to do a quick fix to a culturally embedded problem, that takes time. But when we have you pseudo PR reps for our community that don't even like to use the term "black on black" we're nowhere close to even making the first steps toward change

Think about this: not even a black family in the White House inspired street nikkas to aspire for better things, in fact it got worse!! :mindblown:

I have lived in poor black neighborhood and now live in a suburb. What i know is this. Poverty alone doesnt create the type of violence in chicago.
Broken families lead to erosion of values and those values were replaced with apathy imo. Male unemployment is the root cause of that.

When these guys feel like they can earn enough to purchase a home, get a reasonably attractive wife and take care of kids then the violence Will stop and the apathy will reverse.

For all talks about him being a c00n. He is married to a BW. I am not american but my views lean more on the republican/conservative end. I dont think the extreme liberalism has helped bp mich in the last few decades. I hope more blacks with consevrvative values speak up without associating to racists.

i haven't proposed anything other than what should be the goal, being in the position to employ our own. y'all are the ones talking silly shyt like "why doesn't BLM protest black on black crime," sounding like a bunch of cacs.

People have said the music is trash. People have also said the banning would solve nothing, the same problems will still persist; that we have to clean up the environments for true change to happen.

And it's not about being a pseudo PR rep. People could careless about RP but crime is crime. and people recognize the crime problems. The term black on black crime was created to marginalize our problems so we can't speak out against other problems like police related homicides.

So, Obama and his family was going to make people have money for college and for employers to actually hire them, so they afford to live somewhere better.
