nikkas don't wanna see change. They just wanna bytch and complain about how bad it is out here.

nikka I live in "the hood" :stopitslime:

if rap causes violence then why has raps popularity been going up, while violence has been going down?

why aren't suburban kids shooting each other up?

no deflections, just answer the questions

Rap isn't the cause of violence, rap promotes and encourages more violence in addition to the pre-existing violence.

White suburban kids have the luxury of viewing this kind of music as entertainment because they don't fall asleep to gunshots in the neighborhood, they don't have gang problems in their neighborhood, the music doesn't mirror their reality and even still, white kids mimic some of the behaviors like the fashion, lingo and drug use popularized by the music.

:ohhh: so if you remove the conditions for violence, people wont commit the violence?

By the same token, some affluent Blacks also get caught up in the "thug" culture and fukk their lives up. The pull of the music is that strong, breh.

But, nikkas don't want to hear that.

how would you define "Black culture"?
Black culture is omething that isn't synonymous with thug culture, but rather is a degenerative subculture that needs to be extinguished. Black culture has had movements such as the Harlem Renaissance and many other similar constructive movements. There is a history of intellectualism, an extremely rich history of music and so many other things to be celebrated. The thug/gang culture is a complete waste of black life and yet when you speak out against a culture that brags about killing other blacks and poisoning the community, you get some people that want to infer you are some kind of 'c00n' despite the fact that you've had some of these very same rappers of the culture say, "I kill more n1ggas than the KKK" or "I hate n1ggas, I'm a nazi". It should be abnormal to kill another black, especially knowing what the average black person is up against in this country, and yet in thug/gang culture, killing other blacks is celebrated.

If I'm not mistaken these same gangs in Chicago been around since the 60s and 70s. Some of these kids that's all they kno

Yall expect Chief Keef to be rhyming about social issues
:mjlol:
You can blame record execs for exploiting these kids but don't blame the kids they're just trying to get paid.

I forgot hip hop is responsible for guns on the streets
:rudy:
If hip hop didn't exist shyt would be the same way.

Rap is a product of all of those elements and derived from lack of opportunity, leisure time, oppression and not having a platform where their voice couldn't be heard , thats what these sheltered niccas can't comprehend ...
nikkas so disconnected from reality it's scary. A gang culture that has been going before dudes were bumping James Brown. nikkas never known anybody born into a gang. Knew dudes who never had a fukkin chance cause the only thing they could be proud of they dad for was trapping

Dog , shut the fukk up you're no different from the prejudice cacs on fox news with these asinine generalizations ... place a young black male in an affluent environment with opportunities and resources that aren't limited and he'll come out fine , there would be no reason for son to tote guns and commit felony crimes ...
