Just had an interview at a hospital out in Houston yesterday and the nurses in there were on another level. Fat ass bootys just jigglin around in them scrubs. I know they didn't have no panties on

I worked for a behavioral hospital for 3 years specializing in adolescent teens with anger issues, suicidal ideation and sexual abuse.

I worked with boys so it was pretty straightforward. If there was any violence, it was usually amongst themselves. They knew better than to try staff. But there was an instance or two where a kid did assault a staff. That kid was usually mentally unstable. But the girls... fukk that!

I now work for the state in a juvenile detention center. If anyone get out of pocket, control tactics is activated..

I've been hit by patients, called the N-word, threatened with violence. I even was left in a room with presumed gang members who were making sexual advances at me (their loved one was sick and required 24 hour staff supervision). I say all this just to point out working in the hospital has always been risky...and its not something new. What are they going to do about it?
I made changes on my own and now I don't deal with that kind of stuff anymore.

People have been complaining about how the Emergency Department has turned into a place for homeless people to get a bed for the night. Even the mentally ill get left in ERs for DAYS before they are admitted to a mental health unit.

My girlfriend is an RN up at New York Presbyterian and she told me how one of her homegirl's friend who is a nurse's assistant almost got attacked by a mental patient up in Bellevue Hospital but luckily another nurse got there in time .

As an ER RN that works in a high crime area. I can tell you for a fact that nursing is a dangerous job. My field is full of verbal/physical abuse. Luckily I work at a place where security is good. But there has been a few occasions where I was about to fight a patient.

There's opportunity to make good money in nursing ....but for the most part ....not really. I mean once you factor in student loans and taxes, the checks aren't amazing. Now once I start traveling or taking registry positions, I'll start to make bank. But those positions typically don't come with benefits.
I really think the whole RN making good money thing is kind of dishonest.

If you're paying student loans and such yeah shyt could be rough. Luckily I graduated with only a little over 10k in student loans which I paid off years ago before kids luckily.

But honestly its not bad money for me but I live in a small country ass town in SC so money goes a little farther here.
