In the Silver Lining
distractions from real events.....every week this year, more and more precarious economic or environmental news........Hanford is leaking, and 50 workers are sick.......more countries are abandoning the dollar/treasury bonds......etc etc............there may be an agenda, but its also distraction

Reparations is a nice start. Native Americans got them, Japs got them, Jews got them, White Slave Owners got them. We are owed all lot. Not just money but land as well. Without us there is no United States of America point black period.
I also think there needs to be a federal investigation done on law enforcement and there link to extremest radical white supremacist terrorist organizations. We're 14% of the nations population but we're the overwhelming majority in prison incarceration and cop killings.

Yup that how politics work in the states. You have a trump card. When your candidate doesn't do what he's promised. You can always blame congress, the previous president(s) and/or foreign affairs.

That is very true when you look at our past and present. To give a small example. Hell I was playing Uncharted 4 and all the dance animations were dances created by black people. There was no square dance and river dance options. This is just in the small subject of dance. All they do is closely monitor us to take from us, time and time again.

Because they buy politicians like you are supposed to do. I wish Black's would realize this.
pray-tell how do blacks who have the highest rate of unemployment do what they are supposed to do? Is a bootstrap involved? Ironic that when black people talk about black owned businesses bootstrapping isn't encouraged anymore. :sas2:

I hate to admit it but op is right. This dude is going hard for some transgender people? Not over something that really matters but a bathroom? Seriously?

Who are these people controlling this stupid narrative, who are the people making the country think this is a real issue? :dahell:

This is beyond stupid and doesn't even warrant a response from a president
So sad :snoop:

Oh here we go. It's always some excuses when it comes to why he can't do shyt for black people, but when it comes to other groups, miraculously those excuses no longer exist.
I see all sides of the equation but this is what irks me the most. Its disappointing.

Obama is trying to bypass congress to cape for transfakkits :scust:
that's how hard he's going for them
be very mindful how fast we've went from accepting gay marriage to now some bathrooms for Transgender people.
Again, who are these people controlling this narrative :scusthov:

This should show they don't respect our votes. I was watching CNN and they had a chart where they focused more on how many Latinos gonna vote for Trump, How many white women gonna support Hillary, How white men could swing the election, Nothing about the black vote. We literally have no pull and sadly we allow it because they come through and do the dab or make a good feel good speech.

at the end of the day just don't trust politicians at that level. they're celebrity status and aren't the same as you no matter how they look. they enjoy their celebrity status and privilege that you don't have. they will never relate like they used to. also most likely sociopaths.

i would really only focus on local things. i know local politicians who are still good people, the power eventually corrupts, but if you get them at the right time then you can at least live a better day to day life. unfortunately major change at a federal level is impossible in our current undemocratic system.

i honestly hope trump loses the popular vote and wins the electoral college somehow.

you know the first day congress is in session they would abolish that undemocratic shyt.

transgenders and gays are fighting for rights black folk and the broader society already enjoy (marriage/using facilities) so they are civil rights issues.

and we're not doing the same thing?
it's 2016 and we still fighting to be seen as humans and not animals, which is a privilege broader society enjoys

all of our battles we fight are civil rights issues. mass incarceration, police brutality, affordable housing, job discrimination-- all of this is dependent on our status as citizens and as of right now we are still not seen as having enough rights or humanity to warrant fair treatment. you nikkas is confused

just cuz the era called "the civil rights era" ended don't mean we ain't still fighting for civil rights. this shyt BEEN goin on.

Not to mention, why do these discussions always get turned into a dichotomy of gay vs. black or sexual orientation vs. race? They aren't mutually exclusive, there are plenty of Black people who aren't heterosexual.
