He can't make jumpers yet that's what he did in game 7 to clinch the NBA finals.

Of course he can make jumpers, it's just that his jumpshot is really the primary flaw left in his game. He shot with a lot more consistency last year, but the fact remains the easiest scoring opportunities to create with limited time left on the clock are jumpers.

His Game Six against Boston in 2012 and Game Seven during the recent Finals are the two stand-out DOMINANT jumpshot games I can recall of LeBron via the jumpshot, but those are not common for him.

It's not the scoring numbers that are uncommon, but rather the fashion in which he scored the ball.

If there's limited time on the clock, I'd trust Kobe or Jordan to create space off the dribble and fire up a jumper.

The mindset of the Heat in game seven was totally different though. They looked more in control and confident. In the previous games everybody, LeBron included was playing mostly like shyt

It's something he's improved on since coming to Miami. But just because it's not his biggest strength it doesn't mean he cant. You weren't saying that, but other people were.

Exactly. The way I see it, basketball is all about probabilities. It just comes down to who you trust more on a given play. Hell, Dwyane the GOAT Miami 2-guard is by no means a consistent outside shooter, but he has a weird knack to sometimes knock down huge perimeter shots when it matters most for whatever reason.

There's so many little variables these cherry-picked, out-of-context stats ignore that you can't rely on them entirely to talk basketball. People still gotta watch the games.

Spin: Who do you want in isolation/going to the basket between the 3? I wonder how that poll would look.

problem with that is once he gets fouled he's only a 75% free throw shooter

the reason Bron doesn't get to the rim at the end of games and instead takes those ackward off-balance jumpers is cause he's scared to take pressure free throws.....he has a history of missing them in the final minutes of a close game......having to hit 2 FTs with no time on the clock in a playoff game to tie would be incredible pressure and he seems to run away from that

75% is respectable and if you're down 1 point, you wouldn't foul. In fact I doubt you would foul Lebron down 2 either...why? 75% > 50% so if he's driving down the lane you are guarding him and trying to stop him without fouling. What usually happens is that he gets a shot up anyway and will probably get a foul called.

what about the first 6 games?

Bron is a NBA player. I would hope he can hit open jumpers. SA basically stepped back and said you can't hit jumpers. And for 6 games he proved them right. He's just lucky he got hot when it counted.

Lol you're saying that like he was alone on the perimeter. Just cause it's not his forte or go to move doesn't mean he can't do it. His game has evolved to more post play and running the offenses

funny how those same players give Kobe props

maybe it ain't salt but the truth :yeshrug:

Give Kobe props for what? Days of sidekick lore? :heh:

Other players don't hate on Kobe because there's nothing to hate. Kobe's not shyttin on em year in and year out, snatching up all the MVP's, winning all the rings.

In fact, Kevin Durant and them boys LOVE what Kobe's doing. LAL is an easy postseason opponent. :heh:

While Mr. Bean goes 6-24 in the biggest game of his life. :dead:
