My job is the problem.... I work 12 hours/day in a tire manufacturing plant. I do go to the gym on my days off, but as soon as I go back to work, I lose my gains or I'm just too exhausted to work out....

I had less problems when I worked 8 hour jobs.

My job is the problem.
This is most people's main problem. Combine that with commute time and family obligations most peoples'lives just isnt condusive to leading an active lifestyle. Hard to find the time and energy for lots of people unfortunately. But, with that said there is NO EXCUSE to eating like a pig. You CAN control what you put into your body:ufdup:

You are 100% correct but this is where it gets confusing for people. So many theories and for the average person just trying to start somewhere its :mindblown:
This is exactly one of my problems. I look up beginner regimens and there will be about a dozen different opinions on which regimen to use and it kinda confuses me lol

I'm not in horrible shape. I'm 5'11 180 lbs.... I want to maintain my current weight but just tone it up

Yep the key is his diet. I understand we have work and other important matter to take care of. It's a burden. On the other hand, he can cook his own food on his off days.

On my off days I usually cook a load of food and pack it in different containers. For example, I'll cook baked chicken, with rice and peas, then shrimp, crabs, and steam vegetables, make fresh salad with steam fish. Then I place each food in a different container and label them by the day of the week.

Saves me money and energy.

but again... i'm not sloppy... if i ever got to sloppy, i'd get my ass in the gym and start eating right


but for my life... if i want a big fat ass steak, i'm not wasting my time counting calories and making sure i burn it off, and doing this and doing that.... that's not that important to me right now cause my weight isn't a problem TO ME
