yeah im still thinking of the mental health thing. i know a couple people that are in some subreddits that feed into their depression. Its hard to explain but some of those subreddits can get dark. like r/collapse

OOOO that's just a big problem with depression in itself. I've been in that cycle. So I understand what you mean, but that's more of a " That person has to decide when they want help" kind of thing if you get what I'm saying. I've been in that self-feeding dark place it's why I got off social media back in 2015 because it was driving it but in that situation, they're just seeking it out. Luckily I pulled myself out of that its not easy though. Just be ready when if they reach out is all the advice I can give there.

when i voted instagram i was thinking about more of the mental health aspects and how it has people thinking they are famous and important.

people out here are miserable comparing themselves to other people and shyt like that. Think it is behind a lot of the narcissism, short attention spans, depression and anxiety we see nowadays.

the difference to me is on IG i can control what comes through my feed for the most part and IG actually does a good job with they algorithm of showing you the type of stuff you already follow. If anything IG is like holding up a mirror.

Twitter on the other hand, 200 organized people can tweet about something all at once and have America thinking some minor issue with a nationwide dilemma. This can be good sometimes, but usually it's some fukkery. 30 chicks could get together and start talkin about "black toxic masculinity" and have a movement started in 2 weeks, only on Twitter. And the thing is that bullshyt is exactly what twitter is designed for, to amplify bullshyt. It's extremely damaging.

Every other social media has a different purpose. IG is still mainly just a picture platform. Facebook is still mainly for friends and family to connect, family even pushes that portal thing and the commercial is showing family video chatting long distance. Youtube is still a great resource of information and tutorials, i don't know why people are saying youtube is this super dangerous platform. To me, if you're seeing nothing but bullshyt on youtube and IG, you're truly looking for it.

I would say youtube actually has more positives to it than any of the others. You can learn all types of skills off youtube. Hell you can learn how to fix your car yourself and all types of different life hacks.

I voted IG because I think it causes a lot of mental health issues but as I think about it Facebook is home to some of the most ratchet shyt I've seen on the internet. My hometown be having internet wars, exposals, gay exposal pages, bm vs bd drama, sexual assault exposals, street beefs, and all types of other shyt.

Twitter is hit or miss... if u don't look for the dumb shyt it's really not bad. Like I have one account strictly for coding and crypto

Damn I voted Twitter, but I thinking about it more I would have to say Facebook.

Facebook is really the one that is causing so much of these conspiracy theories that is affecting the older generation. That shyt leaks on to other platforms.
Twitter does the same thing, but it is more millennials on there, so some actually don't get persuaded by everything they see on the internet.

Youtube was just videos back in the day, but the algorithim nowadays is contributing to the Facebook misinformation.

Instagram had a hand in affecting how some people view beauty and it's standards.
