We were just having this convo at the barber shop (mad as fukk that my normal shop got fire bombed last summer, apparently nikkas take ass whoopings out on buildings instead of the nikkas that put him thru a window) and this topic is extremely hard to place in an order. I'm talking all time at each players athletic peak. The faster, the more of a role the body control plays. There are extremely fast players who were great players, but lacked body control (Westbrook to be specific) so I think my list is good, but I want to know how y'all nikkas feel.

1. Jordan
2. Wade
3. Iverson/Rose
4. Kyrie
5. Lebron
6. Wall
7. Kevin Johnson
8. Marbury
9. Francis
10. Thomas
11.Tim Hardaway
12. Kidd
13. Westbrook

Who am I missing ALL TIME (damn, there really are not many 80's and 90's players who can compare to today's athletes smh)

List edited, added Kyrie and KJ, changed some spots

I don't remember him being the absolute fastest guy on the floor at all times whenever he played but Kevin Johnson was a great finisher and was kind of a precursor to these explosive PGs

Younger Chris Paul maybe? Didn't have the raw explosiveness but speed+finishing ability

Props for the Kidd mention

Kyrie has got to be on this list. The way he contorts his body and puts that English on the ball is a site of amazement.

Yeah, props for the KJ mention fam, I def forgot about him, he would probably be right behind Wall. People always forget about just how damn fast J Kidd was, even after the ACL surgery (and back then it was considered a career ender) he still maintained his speed. He was the fastest of in the league for a nice period of time. Just ain't have no hops or change of direction.

I was def thinking about adding him, but speed wise, he is behind the ones I mentioned by a large margin. He is probably top 5 all time as far as just body control alone, dude is amazing at that. I left him off just cause of his speed. Not a knock on him, my list was just based on speed.

I like your list, though I would put Rose above LeBron and Wade and Kyrie should replace Wall. Rose's is all time quick and explosive with the ball, can stop on a dime, and can finish with the best of them in traffic. Wade is right there too, but his level of control requires that he use less speed than Rose imo. LeBron's body control is pretty good but I'd knock him down a few slots because he isn't really know for finishing in traffic unless he gets a good lane. Kyrie's finishing ability is on par with Rose's but he doesnt have that explosiveness and hang time...though I'd say it's better than Walls in a basketball context.

I think in terms of body control in the air making dumb ass lay-ups off strange body control I got Rose over Iverson. The rest of your list pretty good tho.

pre-injury derrick rose was something special in terms of his ability to contort his body in the air.
Yeah, D Rose was an all time great at his change of direction from a stand still or at full speed too, he was just as good on the ground as in the air. Him and Wade were easily the best of this era at that shyt. I'd say Wade was slightly better because he had slightly better body control on the ground, Rose had slightly better control in the air (or maybe just needed to use it more cause he was smaller, cause Wade has hundreds of Jordan like layups in his career).

Feel that but with that body control he has to be on this list somewhere. It's not hypebole to say that Kyrie could end up as the greatest finisher ever.

:salute:

Yeah, I always noticed this, but I ain't really peep the proper context until i got locked up for a few months last year
Rose and Wade have VERY similar games. The thing I noticed about Wade is the favlct that Wade takes EXTREMELY long steps when he is in the open court. Watch him after a steal, there is some shyt where Wade jumped the passing lane and stole the ball at the 3pt line, the nikka only took 4 steps and 3 dribbles before he was going up to finish. That shyt had me like :mindblown:. Jordan and Iverson was the same way with the extended steps. Rose, Bron, etc they all take speedy ass small steps. Visually, the small steps look faster, but in some comparisons they are not. It's hard to explain, but if u paid attention to it you would notice it.
