yes, but smaller devices have sufficient power for most people's needs. it used to be you needed a 'desktop' to do anything computer/internet related. now you only really 'need' a desktop for gaming, or other rather hefty computer apps

good point. i guess most people's demands don't require more than a 'telephone'. i'm getting more into film/music production so that's where my mind is. i often forget that most users aren't trying to build a studio and they just want see what their ex is up to in between checking NFL scores, re-posted memes, and porn.
