OutKast will make their first New York appearance in over a decade when they headline the Governors Ball this spring. A rep for the fest, which will take place from June 6th to June 8th at New York City's Randall's Island Park, confirmed the news exclusively to Rolling Stone today. Following last night's news that Andre 3000 and Big Boi would be playing Coachella in April, it's the second announcement of a major reunion appearance for the group this year.

The fest will be issuing hints about the rest of its lineup, which will feature over 80 artists, on its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts in the coming days. The first of these looks like white noise on a television screen. The second is a picture of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur together. Governors Ball will announce its complete lineup, which may explain these pics, next week. Tickets to the fest will also go on sale next week.
Prior to yesterday's Coachella announcement, Andre 3000 had dodged questions regarding an OutKast reunion. When Rolling Stone put it to him late last year, he said, "Things are kind of up in the air with me, and some days, I feel like yeah, I'll do it. Some days, I feel like, I don't. I don't know the future of music right now. I have no idea what I do. I honestly don't."
Reports of the duo's reunion began circulating in November, when unnamed sources told Billboard that it was "all systems go" for Coachella. The group kept mum on the subject at the time.
