they tried to pull that with katy perry and she refused to pay. and i'm sure taylor swift would do the same thing if they asked her. artist like that don't need the superbowl publicity or payday. it's just an easy gig for a shytload of money.

:yeshrug: but she still didnt get paid for her performance

At this point....Big Boi has to be pissed :laff:. Big Boi is a businessman and realizes how important the Outkast brand is, but Andre doesn't give a shyt

If not for 3 Stacks's selfishness....Outkast would be bigger/more relevant today. When it came to music, style and fashion they were ahead of the curve.

came into this thread cuz I KNEW it was 3000 that fukked up that gig. big boi probably wanna strangle that dude knowing how much potential money they left on the table due to 3000's nonsense.

Didn't they not even tour off that album? That diamond selling album?

This shouldn't surprise anyone. But on a bigger scale, obviously Big Boi would like to be doing much more, but it's not like he hates Dre for it. He knows what it is...so y'all shouldn't get too worked up over it.

Dre just never seemed comfortable in the spotlight as he got older. I'm sure he's got millions in the bank, and that's plenty for him.

I actually ran into Dre about a month back and he was real chill and down to earth dude. I was kinda salty on him before that for the same reasons y'all are saying, but after meeting him I felt like an a$$hole for judging him like that. Seemed cool as hell and completely unpretentious.

Respect to threestacks. Best believe cutting down the lengths of the songs isn't the only change the Nfl wanted to make. Surprised that there's so many people hating on this in here. Dont dudes usually get hated on for doing shyt they didn't want to do and go against their integrity??

But i would ask yall who agree with 3 Stacks, how is performing at the Super abowl compromising their integrity? It's not like they were asked to share a stage with Aerosmith

It's already been said that these guys won't get paid for their performance and the nfl still has the balls to tell them what they can and can't do. Andre wants to perform his art(music) the way he believes it should be heard if he does otherwise he's going against his integrity he's not staying true to himself if he's doing something he doesn't want to do.
