Naw they didn't. You nikkas shyt on stankonia because of the beats but them lyrics is hard. shyt got quotes for days. Dre bowed out before they fell off.
Was Stankonia the worst album they'd made to that point?

:picard:
Infamous and Hell on Earth are 5 mic albums.
3.5 :picard:

So if they're 5....which I agree with...."Murda Muzik" is only .5 less than them?

I don't know if you're devaluing the 5 or just over rating "Murda Muzik".

No they weren’t. Why y’all trying to lump them in with PM Dawn and Arrested Development?

theres a reason why outkast inherited the fanbases of those groups.
not to mention, they were pushed by laface/arista.

why do yall think they got booed out of the source awards?? they were seen as bullchit.
they try to revise history and act like its just cuz they were from the south but nobody booed the 69 boyz, who were up there man-twerking & humping the stage that night.

Prodigy at one point was one of the best rappers out, but his fall off the worst in history

Meanwhile Andre got better with each album, and is a top 10 (top 5 imo) rapper when it's all said and done.

PM Dawn And Arrested Development were liked by black women my mother's age :mjlol:

They got booed at the Source Awards becuz they won an award. The 69 Boyz didn't win an award and if they had they would've got booed too:yeshrug:

I disagree...but I get where y'all coming from

organized noise said it themselves.

I already knew, but yall cant be in denial anymore when theyre telling you otherwise.

so was outkast. they inherited that base.
u really think they were going plat & double plat on some rap chit? they weren't big enough on the rap scene to be doing those numbers. their sales were always inflated from bases outside of hip-hop.

good point about the award, but my point still stands.

people love to go back 20 years in hindsight and pretend that outkast was bone thug/wutang/dogg pound or some chit. this is why I keep my foot on the neck of their faux legacy.

The same base for those groups that was bumping Everyday People wasn't bumping Players Ball. My mother loved Arrested Development but I doubt she even knew who Kast was till Ms. Jackson dropped. That's a bad comparison to Bone/Wu/Dogg Pound tho becuz none of those 3 groups sounded anywhere close to the same. Kast was looked at as being on some real hip hop shyt just southern. We weren't used to acts from the south getting that exposure outside of groups like the 69 Boyz or Tag Team and shyt. The Geto Boys to an extent but they could've been mistaken for being west coast
