Over 4 years later, did GTA 4 live up to the hype?

I think its a top 4 GTA game.

I put it behind San Andreas and Vice City, equal to VCS.


They did a good job recreating the city, it was big and all, but it had alot of shyt missing.

overall i give it a 8/10.

nah it didnt, i lost interest in it a couple of times, it was way to serious for me. The crazy off the wall missions were the best parts about the pasted game.

online multiplayer was the shyt. anybody to disagree havent played multiplayer the first year the game was out

Naw they tried to be too realistic and shyt got mad annoying with the friends/relationships. I found myself going back to saints row a couple of times. It wasnt a bad game, but it wasnt no gta:sa either.

Here's the deal, technically it's a great piece of work. But it's a GAME and the reality is, it just wasn't that fun. So overall, no, it didn't live up to the hype.

game was great don't know what the everyone in here is talking about

and i only stayed friends with jacob cause he gave you weapons everyone else (especially burice) I saw them when i saw them.

as a new yorker that shyt felt like New york. I don't think any game and replicate that.
