how does religion explain why there's different races of people? isnt that evolution?

I don't think religion and evolution are mutually exclusive. Most of the issue religious people have against the theory of evolution is "humans came from monkeys", which is a gross simplification.

In the quran, it is said humans came from a single origin then divided (by God) into tribes to get to know each other. Most of the explanations about it was due to environmental and genetic factors, which I don't think religious would deny.

i dont see any room for adam and eve in the 'humans/monkeys/common ancestor' thing

while i think a god putting us here and then things evolved is a reasonable compromise...i can see how ignorant creationists in america are so quick to object to the 'monkey' thing because the actual adam and eve story would just be :camby: in that timeline

i mean i think its pretty clear that all the people and animals on the planet werent put here as they were in the beginning, and nothing has ever evolved :dead: weve SEEN animals 'evolve' and adapt

For some reason, I don't see people objecting to animals evolving or humans adapting. Religious people has been speaking about this for a while now. Most of the issue lies with "the common ancestor" as you said.

That's like saying why are there still German people if Americans exist.

The bible\Quran\Torah acknowledges evolution amd early mans robotic non free willed nature, and their jump with the tree of knowledge....then fast forward to earthlings needing a set of laws in Moses time
