Overall Best Mario Game?

Anybody know a good way to translate the N64 control scheme to the PS3 controller?

Gonna fire up Mario 64 via emulator but I never seem to get the buttons correct, I always end up mapping them in the most inconvenient places.

I'll put it like this, RPG is by far my favorite Mario game just from it's uniqueness from the rest of the early series, Mario World was the most classic because everyone that had a Super had a copy of this and gettin through the Special Zone was like the goat accomplishment at the time, but Mario 3 to me was the most challenging game. Had a lot of great levels, and shyt I still ain't beat the final world that looks like hell.

I voted RPG tho only because no one else did, that game was crack.

There's not really one specific way to set it IMO. whenever I do it I usually have a bunch of config presets for each game.

Super Mario Bros 3, followed closely by Super Mario World. Both were piff but I'd put 3 slightly ahead since you had more powerups and more variety in levels. On top of that, 3 game felt like more of a legit challenge.
With SMW, it was too easy to just fly over everything with a Blue Yoshi/Cape
The Special levels were though.

SMB3, World, Yoshi's Island, RPG, and the OG Super Mario Kart (SNES) are my top 5.

The OG kart > 64 in my book.
