Listen I don't live in Japan so all of that is irrelevant. I live in America and am telling u their models are WAY different here besides a logo.

The only difference between a Toyota Altezza and a Lexus IS is badging.

The only difference between an Infiniti Q45 and a Nissan Cima is badging.

I'm not calling you stupid. You were ignorant. Now, you know the truth.

Again these vehicles are in JAPAN. Not the US so it's irrelevant to my life since I live in the U S

it'd be pretty hard to name a brand with a worse quality to price ratio than current-day hugo boss. and thats across all their lines.
I f*ck with Boss Orange. Colorfastness is on point and the cotton doesn't/hasn't shrunk.

Okay then look at a Ford Expedition and a Lincoln Navigator which are both Fords on the same body with a different badge and different prices. The same goes for a Cadillac Escalade and a Chevy Tahoe both of which are General Motors SUVs.

There's also the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger as well.

You really better off buying a fully tricked out Tahoe instead of an Escalade. You're just paying thousands of extra dollars for a name in certain categories.

No, those same vehicles get exported to the US with different badging. That's why I call it a facade.
They are still way better than what we think of as Toyotas here. Toyota Celsior is still way closer to an S Class than a Camry. You see it now with the Hyundai Genesis and Equus. Badge or not those are bonafide luxury cars. Plus I mean when Lexus came out what was a Lexus? It might as well have been a Toyota, the brand didn't mean anything. But the cars were :banderas: I remember when they came out and how excited my dad was to drive one. They shyt all over the S Class which was even more the shyt back then than they are now.

Plus Acura/Infiniti/Lexus versions of Honda/Nissan/Toyota has shyt you can't get in the regular ones. Acura ILX comes with the dual clutch transmission and the LED headlights. They could have put them on the Civic, but nobody is trying to spend $30K+ on a Civic. Same time though that ILX will be much better equipped than a $40K Bimmer. So there is value there. I don't think those brands are overrated, they are just different. I salute them for getting more value out of their platforms. I would personally get an Acura over a Honda if I had the choice and the car was right, even if it was just a rebadge. I always get the top trim anyway.

Yeah read my original post. I get they are the same body and maybe engine (as I said I no nothing about that stuff) but you clearly have never been IN a fully tricked out Tahoe and the equal year escalade. The luxury isn't even close. And I know you haven't because it's all in the details of luxury. Having a nav and leather seats is not what I mean...

It mainly has to do with how American companies market their products compared to Japanese companies. The consumers of Japanese products like name brand familiarity. Americans seem to like a separate brand names that differentiates luxury and non-luxury cars.

Ralph Lauren style 'polo' sport shirts. They always tear at the seams on the side at the bottom where the front and rear of the shirt meet. I friggin' hate it.

Nike/Jordan - Most colorways and models are wack. The quality has been declining, too. I'm good with my Huarache Lights :ahh: Plus NB/Saucony/Asics have better quality for less.

IT ISN'T JUST THE BADGES. THERE ARE FEATURES AND COLORS THAT ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE LOWER TIER. THE LEATHER IN A FORD IS NOT THE SAME AS THE LEATHER IN A LINCOLN.

DENALI AND ESCALADE LEATHER ISN'T THE SAME EITHER. THAT FORD/LINCOLN AND GM/CADILLAC THING HAS CHANGED QUITE A BIT IN THE LAST FEW YEARS.

CADILLAC HAS ONLY ONE VEHICLE THAT LOOKS LIKE ANY GM CAR. EVEN THEN THE INTERIORS LOOK LIKE NIGHT AND DAY.

LINCOLN STILL HAS A WAYS TO GO TO SEPARATE ITSELF FROM FORD. BUT IT IS WAY BETTER THAN 10 YEARS AGO.
