Overhyped game series this gen?

I think we can all agree, GTA 4. shyt was so hyped I bought a copy for my 360 AND ps3

only for my 360 to RROD on me and for me to never beat it on ps3.

I've tried the first three iterations, and I always tapped out after the first two hours. I'm looking at Black Flag like but I'm pretty sure I'll be after playing it a while.

Cod and Assassin's Creed for sure. I was done with that series after the second game.

I feel like the first BioShock is a little overrated, but it is a good franchise.

I was cool with the WW2 Call of Duty games but they have completely whored that series out now.

People weren't gushing over ME3 Ending was abysmal. I literally stopped caring about the whole trilogy once that shyt was over.
Oh and Resident Evil 4 is another horribly overrated game. Game is great but not THAT great. shyt was kind of boring at times.

What games this gen came out to you that seemed to be overrated and actually trash??

I'd say Assassins Creed games were boring and overrated. Very repetitive, bland environments and wack story.

Next up would be the Mass Effect series. My god what do people see in these games?? I mean ME2 was alright but god damn the acting in that game was atrocious. I rather had read it then watched the game in action because the acting was plain terrible. Playing TLOU spoiled me. ME3 was just trash period.

GTA IV. Horrible game. Horrible city, horrible gameplay.

Halo series. Nothing special. Halo 3 was great fun in MP but SP was boring as hell. I fell asleep on Reach's story mode. It took me several months to get through it. Halo 4 story mode was surprisingly not as boring because the production values increased tenfold and made for a more engrossing experience. It was forgettable though. Online was fun for like 2 months and then everyone abandoned it except for like one dude on here.

Gears series. Again another boring franchise. MP is the only thing that's good in it. SP is absolutely boring. Drab environments, chest high wall hallway shooter with lots of smoke and mirrors to make it look nicer than it is. UC games greatly exceed these games.

Last but not least, the walking dead games. OMG ??? How the fukk did a point and click game get so much accolades?? Did these people play the real game version of his TLOU?? THAT'S a fukking game. TWD was absolutely prosaic all in it's sense. Ellie>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Clementine all the fukking wa. Lee was a cornball brotha and he just was wack.
