Assassin's Creed for me. Couldn't even make through the first 1. Played the Ezio trilogy and wasn't super impressed. Bought 3 anyway and made my way through that. There is basically no way I can even bring myself to finish the Tyranny of George Washington .

I may wait until Black Flag is bargain bin status and then scoop it up though.

Assassin's Creed...I actually think the games are pretty cool but it's way overhyped.

Bioshock 2 was meh but the 1 and Infinite are CRAZY.

Anyone who tries to list Last of Us here is either biased or needs their opinion revoked. Dude called it a shooter and then an RE ripoff...that's easily the most clueless ish I've seen on this forum in a long time and people stay saying dumb shyt on here.

I LOVED the Walking Dead episodic series, but I have a feeling they're gonna manage to mess up the formula or that it might become redundant since the game play is so simple. Not hating on the first one (I count all five episodes as one game) at all, but I don't know how much they can innovate and I really wonder how they can match the story/emotions from it. I think that's a series that may fall off and get overrated.

Mass effect 1 and 2 are just
THEY CREATED A WORLD, filled with history and lore that pulled you in with the single player storyline. The entire thing was epic..the only bad thing i can say about those 2 games is that i wish both games can borrow diffrent aspects of each other and both become perfect


i never played mass effect 3 because my xbox died and i REFUSE to play it on my ps3 without my xbox files that i put so much time into..im going to cop all 3 on the ps3 and do everything all over again...cause thats just how i roll

Fallout is easily the most overrated game series. There's literally nothing good about it, I don't understand.

Graphics are meh.

Story is good, but delivery is trash. (just personal preference here, but I like cinematic shyt in my video games)

The combat system. oh my god the combat system is so unbelievably garbage.

I was OK with you until the last part. THE VATS system was so dope and satisfying I hope Bethesda never changes it. Besides, you didn't have to use it.

Played the first one and was like, "why is this game so hyped?"

Played the first 3. Nothing special.

I will say this, tho, part 3's MP got me back into gaming. My homies and I would get stoned and have 1 on 1 matches. shyt was intense. I got tired after 2 hours, tho.

for me almost all current gen game franchises have become or were from the beginning:

• gears of war takes the cake, how the fukk can any1 like this boring piece of shyt?
• I love final fantasy and I tried to beat 13 three times, but I just couldnt, so
• fables 2 and 3, after VERY good 1 they ruined it
• bioshock wasnt nothing special to me either
• assassins creed, I kinda liked the 2nd one, didnt even bother with the rest
• god of war ascension
• gta 4 - yeah, story sucked major ass

What games this gen came out to you that seemed to be overrated and actually trash??

I'd say Assassins Creed games were boring and overrated. Very repetitive, bland environments and wack story.

Next up would be the Mass Effect series. My god what do people see in these games?? I mean ME2 was alright but god damn the acting in that game was atrocious. I rather had read it then watched the game in action because the acting was plain terrible. Playing TLOU spoiled me. ME3 was just trash period.

GTA IV. Horrible game. Horrible city, horrible gameplay.

Halo series. Nothing special. Halo 3 was great fun in MP but SP was boring as hell. I fell asleep on Reach's story mode. It took me several months to get through it. Halo 4 story mode was surprisingly not as boring because the production values increased tenfold and made for a more engrossing experience. It was forgettable though. Online was fun for like 2 months and then everyone abandoned it except for like one dude on here.

Gears series. Again another boring franchise. MP is the only thing that's good in it. SP is absolutely boring. Drab environments, chest high wall hallway shooter with lots of smoke and mirrors to make it look nicer than it is. UC games greatly exceed these games.

Last but not least, the walking dead games. OMG ??? How the fukk did a point and click game get so much accolades?? Did these people play the real game version of his TLOU?? THAT'S a fukking game. TWD was absolutely prosaic all in it's sense. Ellie>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Clementine all the fukking wa. Lee was a cornball brotha and he just was wack.

Overhyped games are mostly a Playstation Exclusive. Disgruntled Playstation gamers are the loudest, so according to you guys every xbox game that sold a billion copies was overrated. And every PS3 game that flopped was and still is a classic. Shiit, even MGS4 was known as the best game EVER MADE by like the majority of you

People weren't gushing over ME3 Ending was abysmal. I literally stopped caring about the whole trilogy once that shyt was over.
Oh and Resident Evil 4 is another horribly overrated game. Game is great but not THAT great. shyt was kind of boring at times.
