just because it wasn't the intended purpose doesn't it mean it won't be used in that way.
you repeating what i said...potential abuse doesn't mean it was made FOR THAT PURPOSE. that's where you turn something plausible into a conspiracy

everything that is developed giving new reach and access has potential for abuse it...

We're gonna get to the point where cars police us.
Police won't even need to do traffic anymore, your car will just notify them if you break the speed limit and print out a ticket from your dash.
If you got warrants it will just drive you directly to jail. If your tags expire, it won't start.

Car Mechanics at the dealership will get in on it too,
be like sorry we don't have to honor the warranty in this case, car says you wore out the swing rod by driving aggressively off road on Jan 23rd.

All of this technology is not meant to make your life easier. It's meant to help them out. Cameras in your face, GPS, etc, etc. They made it easier to locate you and know who you are. All new appliances and electronis connect to the network. Of course they know where you are. Any help you get is a byproduct of them tracking activity.

Cars will start policing themselves

Tech is all good until they start practicing self preservation on some maximum overdrive ish

It would make more sense for Tesla to just disable the car remotely and flash a message on the screen that payment is due immediately. Car is automatically re-enabled after payment. No need to pay a repo company. Now if it becomes a frequent occurrence, maybe then send for repossession.

The black box already gets pulled by lawyers and insurance companies to see moments before a collision. Feel like we partially there.

Yea I thought about this too, but I could see people damaging a disabled car sitting on their property out of spite. Plus what if it’s not on their property and it accrues parking fees or gets towed while in its disabled state? Who’s responsible for those fees? Repossession seems like it would be cleaner.

But with remote access, no need to even hire someone with a tow truck. Tesla could just allow keyless driving and the repo man can just drive it away.

This is the purpose of these 'newer cars' and why they want to get these clunkers off the road. It gives these corporations and the government an unprecedented amount of control. Imagine the cars locking their doors and driving someone the police want right to the police station. You are a government dissident? Watch your car mysteriously malfunction and your brakes stop working and you crash into a wall. How about the subscription model on everything in the car? I wouldn't be surprised in the future if you don't even own cars but just pay different subscription fees for everything, with all the features broken into different tiers. "Basic subscription" just lets you drive the car. "Premium" subscription lets you have heated seats, and other things already built into the car but locked behind a paywall. It's coming.

It's not that deep. Some of yall need help.
