Ruth was stuck between Marty and Cade. She definitely saw Marty as a father-figure. Though Ruth felt shut out (a lot), I think that was Marty's way of telling her that he trusted her. Granted when Marty stresses, he turns into a cold-hearted robot. fukk everyone's feelings basically. But I think that he believed Ruth could handle it so he didn't worry about her as much. As Agent Petty told Marty, Marty has terrible "people skills". It's how Wendy was able to come up as a boss. Politics demands you have people skills. Marty was losing it at the end though.

I finished watching season 2 and I agree with people that say this is a fast paced show. After the 1st episode I thought I already watched 3 episodes
The daughter does look strong in the face. My theory season during season 1 was that Wendy had a John Redcorn 18 years ago because she does not look like her family at all
Ruth is my favorite character and I always thought her dad was going to do something to her. It started after he got done fukking the stripper and him telling her to get a blond next time. Then I remembered that he always wanted her to be fixed up when Ruth saw him in prison. When Cade got into her bead my face was like
. I'm glad they didn't go that route. I thought Cade was going to be smarter than he was but it was cartoonish how stupid he acted

Dude always comes up with a plan, and then runs into a complication. Has the bright idea of building the church, and that plan gets fukked up. Escapes all of that by putting together the Casino plan, then the Kansas City mob gets involved. He gets drama from all angles.
